G3 Masters

When I play I only use the G3, but I noticed that not many others use it, but everyone including myself that I see owns with it. WHy dont many people use it? Its the most powerful Assault rifle and 2nd most accurate assault rifle with 0.4 devation.
Do you use it?

It was my first unlock, but it really doesn't seem that good to me. The G36C is alot better to me.

The smaller clip put me off it... I don't take a 2nd glance at it now.

I've just started to use the G3 and yeah, it really is a powerful weapon. I unlocked it awhile back, tried it out a couple of times then forgot about it. In fact it was a thread on these forums that made me pull it back out and give it another go.

As for the smaller clip it's really not THAT big of a deal, I mean yeah, a couple of times it has screwed me over but more often than not I only use like 4 bullets per kill.

The clip is too small.
You only get a total of 5 magazines.
No tube.
The smoke grenade is seldom useful.
No oppurtunity for teamwork points other than being the first to a flag.

Each of the other kits has something which seperats it from the others (Spec Ops has C4, Sniper has long range weapon and claymores, support has ammo bags, Engineers can repair vehicles, Medics can revive and heal themselves, AT has missiles). Assault is kinda in the middle.

All of the unlocks I have are from after 1.2. So the G3 is post 1.2 and I think it is decent but not uber.

when i play assault i use the G3...it is really good gun, i just need a support guy to tag along and resupply me my clips and smoke nades.

I'm using the G3 since the 1.21 patch castrated the FN2000. The only thing I don't like is the small clip, DICE should increase to make it a more balance weapon compared to the other kits.

Also the smoke greande needs to last longer when used and cover a larger area.

I still hate it.. can't hit with it, few bullets (reloading too fast) no I'm not spraying. Imo it's a noob weapon, and I hate it :P

I love the G3. I use it 90% of the time when playing assault now.

I use it when the situation calls for blowing the crap out of someone. But then I use other guns too....really I am a player for what the situation is...if there are a ton of infantry, I probably am going to go as support or assualt. If there is an annoying armor going around and no one will do anything, AT or Spec ops...if no one will repair the assets and we have a stupid commander that doesnt know to drop crates on it....

see where I am going with this...g3 is just another gun for me that is used for certain situations.

Noob weapon? If the G3 is a noob weapon then what is the stock assualt weapon? the G3 is the smart assualt players weapon. make your shots count, and thats easy when you can take a guy down with 3 shots...

The G3 is the best weapon in the game imo.

I win firefights 90% of the time, providing Im controlling my fire.

You cant simply add more bullets to the 20 round clip, because that would be innacurate. BF2 is as close to real life with guns as possible. apart from the ROF of the P90...that sucks.
