when i play assault i use the G3...it is really good gun, i just need a support guy to tag along and resupply me my clips and smoke nades.

thats a key thing is to have a support guy along with ya useing a pkm

after trying g3 i have to say that it is a realy good gun, but.. there is absolutely NO POINT of using g3 if there is pkm to choose.

pkm owns g3 in all imaginable situations and in some more. sorry g3 lovers, but you know that this is true..

so, yes g3 is nice, but i prefer enemies to have it, and drop them one by one with my pkm form safe, lame, sniping distance

If I'm playing USMC I like the G3 for cqc, the M16 doesn't have enough punch to kill in one burst and by the time I get off a second I'm usually dead. I like the M16 for medium and longer range because of the accuracy, larger clip, and the GL. If I'm playing MEC or PLA I stick with the AK47 because of its versatility.

When I play I only use the G3, but I noticed that not many others use it, but everyone including myself that I see owns with it. WHy dont many people use it? Its the most powerful Assault rifle and 2nd most accurate assault rifle with 0.4 devation.
Do you use it?

I like the G3, but the only reason that I'm not using it is because I don't play with the assault class that much. With the other kits you can score points on so many different ways than just by shooting people.

umm...you can move around while shooting the g3 and still hit someone one...

Good gun but the Pkm outclasses it except for rate of fire.
Plus you have ammo bags to restock yourself and others.

If it's close enough, i move around and kill with a pkm. Otherwise I drop prone and it works great.

The G3 is the best weapon in the game imo.

I win firefights 90% of the time, providing Im controlling my fire.

You cant simply add more bullets to the 20 round clip, because that would be innacurate. BF2 is as close to real life with guns as possible. apart from the ROF of the P90...that sucks.

LMAO, bf2 close to real life, LMAO. I can name about 10 other games that have more realistic gun translations bud. And most of em start with Tom Clancy's. P90 tears through kevlar, M95 puts a 8"wide hole through flesh, MP5 is one of the most accuracte sub machine guns in the world, M4 has the same damage as any 5.56mm assault rifle, m203 rounds dont bounce off of vehicles, etc, etc. I can go on and anyone else can too. BF2 is a fun "arcade" game, it in no way is close to realistic.

yeah it took me forever to really get used to BF2 gameplay, after playing Raven Shield for so long

G3 is an average weopon for most players. It may be a very good weopon for a good player who knows how to use it properly.

There are 2 main disadvantages you have with the G3. The first disavantage being the clipsize. 20 rounds per clip may be an issue for some players.

Accuracy when the G3 is in auto setting is poor mid range and below average short range. The weopon owns on maps like iron gator where your just running through corridors most of the time, however on maps with open spaces the G3 lacks accuracy.

If the G3 had a clipsize of 30, everyone would use it. AK 101 is a much better assault gun.

accuracy isn't crucial with your shooting. (no, im not crazy) when you start shooting at something, instead of recoil like IRL the game uses bullet deviation (how far the bullet can stray from its intended target during sustained use) Which in the G3's case has the best minimum deviation...

besides that, in general people say the G3 is powerful and accurate...you just don't go off firing full-auto in an open area anyways...you'll hit squat.

i love the G3 on single shot mode....its nearly all i use, unless the maps requires i be another class.....

the clip size is fine....i usually dont run out before i reload with usually 1-2 bullets left...

i find it is super accurate....even at longer ranges

I've found that at close range, the G3 is horrible at spraying. It's at those times where you need to just unload the entire thing when it lets you down.

The 20 round clip means that I have to reload often, which can be disasterous if you're in the heat of the battle.

I've found it to be accurate, but only on single shot. If I fire any more than say 4 - 6 rounds, then the accuracy is non existant.

I'd rather choose the F2000 or an AK-47/101.
