Gosh...I do not know how you guys do not know about identity theft. What is wrong being protective on my identity. You guys trust using your stuff online using Credit cards..I applaud you, for taking that risky step. All I am reading is like; "Do it" as if idiots are telling me to join em, it is safe. Screw that..

As far as your PC goes, I build them too, but tell me a single store that offers parts such as Dual Core Opterons, or Thermalright HSFs. The only one I know that comes close is Fry's, but they're limited in location.


What's wrong with Visa and Mastercard gift cards? According to Visa card, they're acceptable in 160 countries - I don't see an issue.

I never said anything or flamed you for being "protective" of your identity. I asked a simple question. Something's telling me you just want attention thrown your way with all of the assumptions you're making. You tell me where I told you to just "do it"?

You're definitely unique in the way you ask for help. I offer you advice, where you can get the card OVER THE PHONE and you bitch at me. If you think your identity is at risk over the phone as well, then I don't know what to tell you. I NEVER told you to just purchase the game with your CCard online. I respect the fact you need a safe sense of security. But by putting words in my mouth, you seriously need to take a step back.

Take FIVE minutes to READ the site. They offer it in Canadian dollars, and EA supports Visa cards for the EF download. There is a phone number that you can call to order the card. If you do not want to order the card over the phone, then go back to the malls and buy the Bank and buy the Visa card. I really don't understand the issue here.

No matter what you guys say about using my Bank card/debit card to purchase online. I am not taking that risk, even if it is safe. I will have to look into this Money Mart tonight, after work.

Seriously though. Your bank information is already all over the internet. It is encrypted for safety reasons obviously. If you think it is not, then how can you explain the way people report credit information to you. You think you are "under the radar" but you aren't. Simply owning a credit card/bank card you have already left a trail of your cash withdrawls, not to mention the information all the credit bureaus collect ovre your lifetime. Buying something online is no more dangerous than using an ATM. ATM's send information though 1000's of computers all over the world.

My question for you is why would an electronics place remove copies of BF2 off the shelves? BF2 is a game in and of itself, and exists independently of any and all booster/expansion packs? You must have scared the sh!t outta the kid behind the counter and the manager if they removed the vanilla game that day.

I mean are you mormon or a Quaker that you refuse to use a secured credit card to buy something on a secured website through a secured connection? We live in the year 2006, and you are all paranoid about a $10 purchase...That is sad dude, so very sad.

The solution to your problem is to go to a bank, any bank that is not part of the Illuminati that is and buy an online credit card, it would be a one time use thing. Make sure you take the tin foil hat off BEFORE you go inside, otherwise you might end up getting familiar with the men in white coats.

Anyway, i don't understand why you are unable to play BF2 or SF without EF. There are tons of servers that still play vanilla.

I do have a bank card. I will not use it online to help keep my personl infomation to myself.

I understand your concerns, but wanted you to know that if your bank offers online banking then your information is exposed whether you use the online banking or not.

Nobody is forcing you to buy EF. Nobody is forcing you to get a credit card. BF2 will not be pulled from the shelves.
