Getting kicked for flying chopper solo

If I'm making kills every 30 seconds, for like 10 minutes == 25-30 kills then why should i get kicked because some noobs want to gun?

They see my name light up the scoreboard and they say "WTF is he doing with our chopper?" answer: "Getting kills moron!" What is wrong with these people?

If you are getting that many points alone, imagine how much you could help your team if you let one lousy person into your chopper. Or are you too selfish for that?

He's probably one of those guys that thinks he's the greatest helo pilot in the world because he can switch seats and fire the TV missile. That's probably what they kicked you for since it's such a lame tactic.

Yeah, stop gaying up the servers by going solo in a 2 man vehicle.

I bet you sit in a 1 person locked squad as well, and if someone DOES get in teh chopper you fly out of bounds to punish kill them.

I agree with u whardie, there just noobs that cant handle the ownage. How about for the rest of u, when your a good pilot and u got noobs that cant hit the water if they shot at it with the missiles, why shuld u let them in when u can do a better job solo?

I wish EA would ban people like you from BF2 altogether. It would certainly make the experience more enjoyable.

How do you know if they cant hit the broad side of a barn door?
And an off chance of killing a tank thats killing your team is better than no chance at all. Courtesy pleads, let SOMEBODY in.

I get noobs hopping in as gunners all the time, even vets. It is annoying when I hover in a pefrect spot for a tank kill and they just sit there looking around and not shooting at anything. I can still shoot missle salvo's myself anyway. Remember it's a game and we all started this game as privates.

Kinda off topic, but I remember this one time there was a dude, who was ranked like Sergeant, I was pilot in chopper and he was gunner, he didn't even shoot anyone, so I was doing the work myself, after a while died, then respawned, he took the chopper so I hopped in the gunner seat, he went over too the first USMC checkpoint thats near the MEC base, he bailed out as soon as the stinger locked on.

Next this other dude came over so I said too him, that the guy who bailed on me was a noob and don't fly with him, so the guy seen what I said lol and teamkilled me, then proceeded to use the vodnik everytime a person when in the chopper, tk after tk, then he finally left.

Re: Getting kicked for flying chopper solo

Here's my question to all of you hypocrites:

If it's 'cheap' and 'gay' and whatever else, to fly and gun at the same time. Then WHY, I repeat WHY is it ok for people to switch to the gunner seat in a jeep?

I hear a lot of "choppers are meant for 2 people". Well, jeeps are also meant for multiple people, so are APC's, so are tanks, yet people use them alone almost exclusively, and nobody ever complains about it. Care to explain?

Actually don't bother, because I already know the reason. It's because solo gunning is HARD, and most of you people suck at it, therefore you are against it. Plain and simple.

It was the same thing with C4 throwing. People whined all day about how it was stupid, and unrealistic. Meanwhile, there is nothing unrealistic AT ALL about it compared to a million other things in this game. What is so far fetched about throwing a lightweight explosive a few feet away from you, then backing up and detonating it? Seems pretty damn plausible to me, considering that you can revive people from being blasted by a tank shell, or repair a chopper in 3 seconds just by hovering over a pad, not to mention a thousand other parts of the game that are totally unrealistic, yet nobody complains because they are EASY, while C4 throwing required practice.

Point is, when I see somebody solo gunning, I know immediately that they are a quality player. It takes a sh*tload of skill to be proficient at it, and that's the ONLY reason that you people are complaining about it.

Because like it or not, choppers are a limited and shared resource, and regardless of how 1337 you are, others have a right to have fun, too.

Honestly... you guys complain about n00b gunners and such, and fine, there are some. But how can they get any better if you don't let them practice? And it's not like you (the pilot) are any worse for wear: you still have control the the chopper (the fun part) and still have your rockets to make your own kills.

If I ran a server, I'd kick somebody if they were unwilling to share a chopper.

If you wanna fly a chopper by yourself, buy a chopper game.

I don't give a **** about the team. I don't give a **** about the points. But if I can fly/gun solo better than anyone else in the server (which I can) why shouldn't I? Get your ass on the ground where you belong if you don't have skill. Let the pros back you up.

I LOVE hovering out of bounds killing you people.
