We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
edit - ok got it working. i was able to change my battlefield gamespy account. i had no idea gamespy was tied into the game. i don't use gamespy at all.
okay, first of all i downloaded this under a diff nickname, and after i installed and before i played it i went to EA and edited my account to my REAL account name and saved it. there is a new hope. just try it. it might just work
This Expansion was just a waste of hard drive space an a waste of damn money, Look at all EA's (BUY) buttons compared to there support buttons, EA is a WASTE of space an they should stick to sports games not action!
um, but if you dont need to use the password, couldnt you just enter anybodys BF2 name and block them from using EF?
what an incredibly stupid method. i hate gamespy and all that stupid interface, i once had an online game demo with gamespy and i couldnt figure out how to get online even after an hour.
gamespy sucks, BF2 should be using something better.

I downloaded it and had two problems; 1. gamespy name, and 2. only getting 2 of the 3 maps due to a corrupted file.
I was able to change my gamespy nickname after i downloaded. the link is above the play now button in ea downloader. fixed it.
The map problem i am still trying to investigate. no clue whats going on. anyone know? i dont even know how to uninstall.
the other problem people are having is the 3 name changes per week through gamespy. i frequent the ea boards and was told they changed it to 10 a week...... temporarily.
We are temporarily increasing the limit on the number of times you can enter the BF2 account that you have Euro Force assigned to. You do not have an unilimited number of tries to enter the right name. You do however have more than the initial 3.
NOTE: The name you enter is your BF2 user name. That is in fact a GameSpy name. For example: If I played BF2 as Shawn, then that is exactly what I would enter in the double field for GameSpy Nickname. Because that is a GameSpy nickname and the one that I want to entitle to play Euro Force.
Where: You can make this change in either of 2 places.
1. EA Downloader
Open the downloader
The Euro Force image will have a link "Edit GameSpy Nickname".
This opens a web browser and you are then on the Edit Account section for your EA account.
Login and enter your BF2 name in both fields.
2. EA Edit Account
Go to ea.com
On the top menu bar find My Account. Likely by clicking your name if you are logged in.
Login
A tab for Downloads will show you the field to enter your BF2 name in. Name goes in both fields.
This thread singlehandedly convinced me not to buy it.

Someone has to get fired for this debacle. It's incredibly difficult to try to come up with a more stupid process of purchasing and subsequently playing a game.
I was never an EA basher and never understood the hatred some people had for them. Now I understand.

When I try and change my "Gamespy Account Name" to match my "BF2 Account Name" that I use ingame it says "The account name you entered is in use. Please try another account name."
