NOTE: Your BF2 name IS your GameSpy Nickname!

The wording on the field that asks you for your GameSpy Nickname is horrible. It does not clearly indicate that this is in fact your BF2 name.

If your BF2 in-game name is Shawn (for example.. unless you are that guy :) ) then you want to enter exactly that name in that double field.

GameSpy nickname = BF2 name.

Should you mistakenly put some other name in this field, you can change it in the downloader. There is a link on the Euro Force image to do so. However! - You can only do this 3 times per week. So please make sure you enter the right name. At this time I do not know anyway to bypass that 3/wk GameSpy lockout.

Pass this on to your friends. This seems to be the single most difficult roadblock for EF purchasers. In the future we'll try and get this wording improved.

Its a little late to tell us now. It wont let me change mine again, so now I have to wait a week? That is insane. I cant believe I just paid for a product that I cant use now. What a joke.

Yeah this has prevented me from getting EF sadly. Tried every type of login with no luck. Still trying to figure it out.

Note to EA, when people are trying to give you their money, make it as easy as possible to do so.

I used my email rather then my nickname, my nickname wouldn't work when I entered it.

Wonderful! It keeps telling me "could not connect to the server, please try again in a few minutes!". Maybe it means try again in a few days! lol

Omfg that's so dumb. My brother installed it on our computer, but i cant use it on my account name. Then i switched it and i still cant use it. I try playing single player and choose the map and it says i dont have it, and i cant play with my friend now. Wtf was the point? So we can't use 2 accounts on one computer to play now... just fantastic....

a) How about changing the wording NOW?!?!

b) How about fixing the "credit card declined" screen so that it actually says something pertinent rather than an error message. I thought something was wrong with the website until I realized I had entered the expiry date wrong.

yeah, took me a sec to figure they wanted a 4 digit expiration year too. I used my player name and not the e-mail addy it was associated with and it worked fine for me.

im just going to resgiter a new bf2 account with the gamespy account name it says in there now. hopefully that will work

i cant , my username is one letter too many.

Yes I know that my nickname is my log in name, doesnt work, any suggestions Shawn? I already spent hours on the phone and in forums Shawn. EA techs support suggested starting a new account and to just ditch the hundreds of hours spent on my current account.

I tried editing my nick name and using different accounts. I ve reached my weekly limit in changing my nickname. ???????

Why oh why is everything that EA releases so freakin F@$@$@$ucked up!

This is so BS that people cant play with multiple accounts. I have 3 and only one works. If I knew that I couldnt play EF with multiple accounts I would never bought it.
