Shoot, I downloaded that tab and it still doesn't work... i gues I should stop trying now eh? btw whats IE AFAIK? I know the first part stands for Internet Explorer but what does AFAIK stand for? and where do I dl it?

I was a little confused to find my card details already entered, i dont recall choosing to do, or why i would choose to do so, the answer is alchohol (no doubt) but i simply cant remember being asked the question.
I did attempt to alter this problem (sorry EA but i dont trust you in the slightest) but couldnt work out where i could choose to discard the information from your records. In truth i couldnt work out where i could access my account options in any form.
Ive written an e-mail to the system designers at www.muppets.com to seek advice but dont seem to have got an answer as yet.

well i get mine downloaded and installed no problem (actually buying was an awhip). anyways, i installed and went to join a server.

i get a message mapnotauthorized. in the popup, i have a link which takes me to the buy the game site. i suspect it doesnt see it. i read through this and found that my cache location is a id that doesnt match my in game id. i tried renaming it and it still doesnt work. what should that dir be named? when i "get passwords" from ea, i have like 4 ids but none match my actual ingame id.

i am soooooo confused!

So.. finally managed to purchase Euro.. now whenever i try to open EA Downloader to use what i just bought.. i "EA desktop client" error... no matter how many time i restart, reinstall, remove stuff from task manager... this is honestly the biggest cluster I have ever seen regarding a software install of this magnitude... talk about dropping the ball.. but.. they have my money so im sure they wont be an any hurry to help... absolute BS

turns out mine was the gamespy id issue. i found that somehow when i entered it in during purchase it was mispelled. not sure how that worked. so i kept hearing about editing this id. i finally found (after searching far and wide on gamespy.com) that this is an option from the downloader. once i paired it up with my ingame id it works. werd!

Hi all,

Can you uninstall the the EA downloader after downloading EF?
It says I might not be able to launch the game if EA downloader is not installed. Have anyone uninstalled it? Does it still work if EA downloader is not present?

I dont think you can uninstall it, as in the add/remove programs it says it is 355 meg (the size of the downloader+Euro Forces) i assume therefore that it will uninstall the game if you do so.

You can certainly have it so the downloader dosent have to run in the taskbar though, and still play the game. Just click "edit" and "auto start" in the downloader and you can toggle wether it auto loads or not, screenshot attached......
