    I have this same problem.

If you could help us out Shawn, that'd be great.

    PEACE

EDIT: I figured it out, reinstall your 1.21 patch. It fixed my problem...hopefully.

Or just go to control panel, add/remove programs, make sure that show updates is checked and remove the IE7 beta....this will restore it back to IE 6. Peace.

Q: How many times can I change the GameSpy nick associated with my EF purchase?
A: You can change your Gamespy nickname up to 3 times per week.
This is the most idiotic thing I have ever seen in my life. 3 times per week with the ****ty explanation that they had (NONE) for the Gamespy Account field... So now I have to wait a week before I can play a game I paid for.

EA can go to hell. COME ON POE2

Q: I don't have a credit card, how can I buy Euro Force?
A: We partner with the Click & Buy service to provide a myriad of other payment options. See http://clickandbuy. com for the full list. You'll see the Click & Buy logo option when purchasing, just follow the instructions there.
but you still need a credit card to register for clickandbuy

I have also this problem , and I'm 100% sure that the settings of Step 2 are correct.

            2. When purchasing it will ask you for your BF2 login nickname. Just enter the nick you want to apply EF to. You can change it later if you change your mind. This is sometimes called the GameSpy nickname or the BF2 nickname. Same difference. For example, if you play BF2 as Shawn then enter Shawn (not email) in the double field that asks for your GameSpy Nickname. Your GameSpy nickname is your BF2 name.

So how to fix this? ;(

Re: Euro Force and the EA Downloader - FAQ

To use the EA Downloader you also need a Win XP system. So if any of you are running Win2K Pro like me are S.O.L. It seems from other new EA game releases that this is going to be the statis-quo from here on out.

I don't have IE7. I don't work well with BETA software. That's why I was somewhat dissapointed with the initial BF2 release; their final release was our BETA. We tested for them, and they patched once we already paid. Interesting.

                PEACE

Reinstall the 1.21 patch. All I did was reinstall the 1.21 incremental and it fixed my problem....at least for the server I tried.

                PEACE

What do you expect? :) Windows 2000 will become legacy software in approx. 1 year. (almost 7yrs since its release)

Microsoft has made it so you should be paying them more each couple years to enjoy the software you want to work with. Oh well, use Linux if that be the case! And yes, there is a possibility to play BF2 in full screen under Linux, look it up.

                PEACE

so wait a sec. If you are assigning your Euro Force booster to a specific name you play with then you cant use any of the others you have made and were able to use for BF2?

If I copy the files in the C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EADownloader\cache\accountname\ folder to a CD, can I use them to reinstall if I need to redo my system?

You have to use IE AFAIK, or IETab extension for firefox.

Re: Euro Force and the EA Downloader - FAQ

Firefox does not interfere with IE.
IE is an integral part of windows, and therefore you can't really remove it afaik.
It does not matter if you have firefox installed or not.
The downloader uses IE6 resources to do it's job.

Make sure you check the stickies in the support forum.
I think I've seen other people with the similar problem, and they were able to solve it :)
                              good luck
