I like it for its close range awesomeness, but I hate reloading as much as I have to with it. And I think it looks stupid. A scope would make it look cool. But thats just me dreaming

yea its looks like a led tube attached to some metal piece it would look good with a scope but probally to much work for Ea

G3 is better now and i use it more since patch. 80 Rounds is plenty enough. If you run out of ammo just pick up the enemy's pack and contiue your carnage...

for the G3 there only 2 avalable magazines, a 20 round clip and a 75 round drum, thats all, and since it uses nato rounds, the clip is allmost as big as an AK 74 clip with 30 rounds and bigger than a 30 round M16 clip.

Its ok... But I dont use Assault a lot so, I havent used it a lot... But only sometimes it has gotten me out of trouble... Most of the time long range battles get me killed -_-

I tried it for a while, but like the pkm, I just don't dig it.
The damage is great (on both guns not just the g3) but it's so damn sloppy when you try to "shoot from the hip" (standing/crouch only, no iron sight).

I use the mg36/g36e the most and after playing with those guns for so long, the g3 (and pkm) just feels too slow and sloppy.

The G3 used to be my favorit weapon pre 1.2

I gave up all hopes on the thing ever since I laid prone one day and literally used my entire clip trying to take out this sniper. It was in Karkand, G3 was set to single shot, sniper never noticed me, iron sight dead on target....bam(miss).......bam(miss)......this continues 18 more times.

It was horrible....I wish I recorded the event.

Yep. I think Dice/EA would be better off just taking it outa' the game.

Instead, take whatever primary weapon assault has and give it an Acog 4x, or that nations equal.

I love the G3a3. I would love to have it implemented and be worth a damn. Yet, it seems that's doomed to a fate of "pointless". The extra damage is just "NOT" worth losing your only special ability. Especially considering that extra damage only comes into play on more confined maps.

I love the G3a3. I would love to have it implemented and be worth a damn. Yet, it seems that's doomed to a fate of "pointless". The extra damage is just "NOT" worth losing your only special ability. Especially considering that extra damage only comes into play on more confined maps.

Donno if it's fair to say that taking the G3 means you are losing the kit's "special" ability. With the GLs nerfed to their current state, I find them to be almost useless. I'd rather have hand 'nades about 90% of the time now.

Also, there's that underused smoke 'nade thingy which I find way more handy than flashbangs most of the time.

AND, the rifle itself kicks the crap outta all others when compaired 1 to 1.

Well, if anything, the G3 mag would be larger than a AK74 mag and almost as big as a M16 mag. THe AK74 uses 5.54x39mm rounds, while the M16A2 uses a 5.56x45mm round. And, since they both have the same number of bullets in them (30 bullets), i would presume the AK74's mag is larger than the M16A2's.

maybe he meant AK 47. As the G3 uses a 7.62 round i believe? (gun illiterate)
