Hey I just wanted to know how many people love the G3 as much as me. I use to play AT alot and now all I play is assault which is sweet 140hrs baby! (I know what a nerd lol) Anyways vote now :).

The G3 is good for standing close quarters battles, but the less than useless single shot accuracy makes it undesirable for prone v prone engagements at 15ft+ -

Not any more. The 1.2 nerfed it rather than improved it for me personally. Give it a decent sized clip (not bothered about the tube) and I'd like it a bit more.Comment

I played assault almost exclusively my first 40 hours in the game, now at 250 plus I almost never play assault. Too narrow a kit, IMO. I prefer specops. Great guns, grenades, mobility, and C4. I can snipe with the Scar-L at decent ranges, go full auto up close, kill tanks, and get around. Just can't beat it, IMO.

I had me sum fun wit dat dar G3 thingy!
Last night I was playing on Kark and desided to go with one of my old standbys. I never really gave up on the 'ol G3. Man... with the buff it got in 1.2, it's become a seriously deadly piece of hardware.
I was able to pull off some mighty fine headshots at mid range, out sniped snipers, an had loads of fun losing distance with and taking out the massive numbers of PKMers.
Personally, I don't mind it's short clip so much. Sure, I wouldn't mind it having more rounds, but I think cries of "over powered" would start going up if it had standared 30 round clips.
Smoke 'nades are also one of the least apreasiated/under used elements of the game. It sure makes capping a flag eaiser when you don't have to worry about being seen. Just watch out for 'nade spam.Comment

I use it whenever I feel like point whoring on a karkand server. I can usually get a 10:1 k/d ratio or better with that thing. It's absolutely monstrous.

Hmm I never have any problems with the clip size or ammount of clips I head out with. Especially on Karkand nowadays :)
I did a nice 6 kill rush on 1 clip this evening (Karkand)

It doesnt take 20 shots to kill 2-3 people, 20 is enough for a weapon when used accuratley is very powerful.
Just be more accurate you'll see 20 is plenty.
I like the G3 but prefer to use PKM or Scar-LComment
