Offcourse i give them a time limit. Nah if it was a accident where it's my fault i won't punish but if it's there fault i'll give them time to say sorry.

I say sorry whenever I can, but if I have to stop fighting to do it, I won't. Doesn't mean I deserve a punish, just means I've got my hands full.

Well, punishing for accidents once or twice is okay (sometimes its hard to distinguish an accident from a purposeful TK) but doing repeatadly is unaaceptable.

I don't agree. Why punish at all? Punishing is the BF2 equivalent of a hissy fit. Whatever man, you'll respawn in 15 seconds anyway!!

              Re: I've got to know!

Well, heres a prime example of when to punish: my friend was playing on the oil fields, and some guy gets into the BH, and waits for it to fill up. When theres 1 seat left, he switches to passenger, and someone else gets into the pilot's seat. They fly off, and about a minute into the flight, the first guy (original pilot) bails out. Guess what? He had rigged the BH with c4, and detonated it, killing 7 teamates. Should he be punished? I say all the way. It may be a "hissy fit" but he should not be allowed to get away with behaviour like this. There should be soem consequence other than, "Oops". If he is not punished in some way, he will just continue to do it, ruining other people's game.

Again, I am NOT refering to intentional TKs here at all. This thread is ONLY about accidental TKs.

By all means punish for intentional TKs, I do too.

Oh, ok. sorry, sounded like you were refering to TKs in general. sorry for the mix-up there.

I never punish for accidental TKs and it used to drive me nuts when someone punished me. But I have come to realize that they are simply "punisher n00bs" and I ignore them.

                      Re: I've got to know!

I always find that stat padders will punish, as will people standing in front of jets or swarming over the choppers. Usually they will have half a dozen deaths minutes into the round, and they havent even left the airfield yet, and every single death would've been punished. I have no hesitation in taking these deadbeats out. And of course, i'll get punished for it within a second.

I however rarely punish for a TK. Especially if i get a sorry, even if it is deliberate. Not i say rarely, not never. there are some people that im happy to punish, because of the way theyre acting which is somehow detrimental to the team, ie a bloke camping the chopper spawn on wake getting blown to hell every 5 seconds, then TKing when someone gets in his chopper first.

To every rule there are exceptions and if there was a way to track it, you'd see for every punish i have probably about 10 forgives.

                      cheers all

I hate how people always think that "all" younger individuals are immature, I'm 14 years old, and I hate how people start to act like idiots.

Never punish, unless someone kills me for a vehicle.

HOLY SHIZZZ Your 14 and you have coded your own game and are a mod on this site... (im 14 and im a nobody) nice....

                          'nuff said.

I used to be nice when it came to punishing and forgave, but out in the real battlefied[battlefield 2 anyway] theres no mercy so i shall give none back.

If I go and pub around then I'll usually wait the 15 seconds for respawn before punishing to see if they do the "sorry" over the radio or in text.
Regular servers though I will almost always forgive unless it's a blatant tker, but then the servers I frequent I have admin on most so if it is a griefer then I can just kick them which is even better.

Pagedown monkeys are half the problem with this game.

I assume that part you have TRIED to hide is the fact you have 33 Punishes and NO! forgives in one session..... People like you should only be allowed to play minesweeper

I won't punish if it's a total accident, and it was no one's fault. Like if some guy is going full speed in a jeep and turns the corner and doesn't see me and hits me, i'll forgive, because he had know way of knowing, so it was a complete accident. But there's alot of times where i've been TKed, where it's not necessarily intentional, but the person was just doing something stupid that they really should not have been doing. I try to condition them not to do stupid ****.
