Most of my TK's come from bombing opponents flags from the air. Always seems to be a vehicle full of guys that drive in just as I release my bombs.

People expect from the Team killer a sorry, If I do not get it, I punish, I always wait for the sorry.

when their dead also they can't give the sorry.

I have my own way of making the decision.
1. wait for sorry if I hear one "forgive"
2. look at team scores list and see if this person is doing it alot if yes "forgive once" if it continues and it is obviously on purpose "punish"
3. if red tag is involved in it "forgive" please tell them when their tag is red
4. if they kill me to get a vehical they want "forgive once" do it again punish (love when they say sorry then drive off in the vehical)
5. any other situations that involve the war well I forgive

some things that could help IMO.

1. give a minimum time limit to punish. maybe 10 seconds. (what else you gonna do your dead) gives you time to think of the TK and why it happend
2. track punishes and forgives (maybe even have medals 1000-1 punishes/fogives = jerk award LOL) (1000-10 forgives/punishes = honorable team mate award) maybe have an insta punish stat also.
3. team kill should result in longer spawn time next time you die. (might make you think a little. would suck though if it was not your fault)
4. commanders need some kind of loss of points. not for one artillary kill but if you take out 3 of your own guys in a barrage loose some points.
5. Be able to say your sorry when your dead also.

I pride my self on having low TK's. I hate to punish unless it is entirely necessary. Yes the system could use some tweaking.

i ONLY punish when i have been M95'd out of a chopper/plane...

Even if someone just opens up at me from point blank range with an AK i forgive as i figure it was just mistaken identity (if it happens more then twice within a couple of minutes i will spam "HAVE I GOT THE RED TAG BUG!!" multiple times until someone answers one way or the other)

I dont even punish if someone is running around TK'ing everything that moves, as this is extremely rare and he will be auto-kicked quickly without my intervention if he really is that bad.

The reason for my apparent generosity is that we have ALL made stupid TK's ourselfs and know how anoying it is to be punished, as far as im concerned if you punish yourself then you have no right to complain when someone does it to you, for whatever reason.

There is a server mod that some official servers use that actually displays the amount of punishes/forgives someone has when they hit punish in GLOBAL chat and i have seen people with 15+ punishes and NO forgives (it dosent reset on map change so if someones been on for a few hours they can get that high)

I wish the punishes were available in the stat feed so we could all see who the biggest offenders are on the stat websites, whenever these sorts of polls are posted here then hardly anyone votes "yes, lots" wheras we all know from experience many must be lying :laugh:

OMFG sorry for the double post but just clicked on the stats of the one person that actually admiteed to punishing all the time like a noob:

He has only around 100 hours logged and has 662 TEAM KILLS and been KICKED from servers 74 times :laugh: :laugh: and yet still has the audacity to punish other people, i vote angry teenager

**EDIT** i am seeing pattern from the punishers here, just re-read the thread and there are actuualy 2 people that admit to punishing all the time for no reason, the other is gunner:

He actuualy has many morre logged hours than mr.bubbles but still over 50 server kicks each LMAO

I dont punish tks normaly, unless people are deliberatly tking on ranked servers. unranked i never punishl. I hate fags who punish even though they ran in front of your tank or something.

If I get a TK punish from anything airborne on my team from a missle I swap teams, especially chopper pilots.

If I can't swap teams I'll withdraw air support for the chopper, normally I try to hit any position he is in and look out for enemy fighters picking him up, they punish I go on strike :)

It works well if you type 'Attention all enemy fighters and ground forces air support has been withdrawn from our attack chopper team please feel free to have a field day'

LOL .... I've done similar. Just sit around and hover in the chopper. Drives me crazy when someone punished me because I happened to be shooting the hell out of where they decided to run right into.

I will never punish unless it is a TK for a vehicle. You have to draw the line somewhere. During the course of battle, I just deal with it though. Especially for pilots. It's hard enough to watch your butt up there without keeping track of every single blue dot on the ground.

Personally I only punish if its intentional TKing, an obvious accident (like a nade exploding and killing you when you are running into a group of enemies or when a claymore explodes near an enemy killing you as well) or if someone tks for the vehicle.

I hate the people that punish when you are going really fast in a vehicle like a jet off the runway or a Tank and then they just run in front of you or worse...they force tk you when you are in a jet....

I was kicked/banned from an official EA ranked server last night due to excessive team killing. The problem is I DIDNT TEAM KILL ANYONE. I dont know what happened but the next thing I knew I was being kicked. Tried to re-enter the server and found out I was banned.

Is there anyway to fight this?? Because I honestly did not tk my teammates. The map just started and we were playing Karkand. I was on the US and Im positve everyone I shot was on MEC. I am sure of this because like I stated the round just started.

Is there anyway I can fight my ban? Help!

I don't think you can change this unless you want to go to the server website and argue there or email and admin I dunno.

And you well could have tked someone.....accidentally of course like shoot a teammates vehicle with a pistol and if he then rams a BH full of teammates I think it could count those TKs against you.

Or the server admins didn't like you so they just kicked you.

So if someone was tearing up an enemy base and you got in their way, you expect them to stop fighting and apologize else you'll punish them? Ok, great teamwork!
