The reason most people buy this game is for vehicles. Go away.. lol.

Well yeah.. either beef up JSF or downgrade (not nerf) the J-10.

I think that's a good idea about the J-10 maintaining a certain speed in order to not stall.

          Re: J-10's.... BULLSH*T!

What I'm reading here is that a pilot that knows how to fly a J10 offensively, has NOT fully figured out how to fly against it defensively. So based on that premise the J10 is SUPPOSEDLY 10x better than the F35?

Seems to me it's time to engage the brain and figure out how to fly against the J10. You know it well enough to fly it, so you SHOULD know it well enough to fly against it.

Wouldn't that be the logical thing to do instead of whining and calling for a nerf or buff for something else?

          Just my 2 cents...

When did I say I can't fly against it? I even said.. its not that huge of a problem.. its just when they DO happen to get behind me... its over. And its really hard to get behind them to gun them down, without the OTHER J-10 taking you out (or an AA because you are following him)

And I don't know the J-10 as well as you think :p

Thats a valid advice, often, every time overlooked. Main problem is that everyone flys every plane as if they were the same, they are not, far from it.

J-10 sucks in quick successive maneuvers because it has a sluggish ~1 second delay from signal to reaction. F-35 has no delay. Heres the key for defensive flight against J-10.

But meh, dumbasses will always try to just outturn a J-10 in a graceful, beatiful turn, prepped to be ripped apart by machine guns.

                  Re: J-10's.... BULLSH*T!

The J10s have always been noob rockets... A good F35 pilot vs a bad pilot in a J10 will usually win, with some effort. However a decent pilot in a J10 will totally outmanouvre a similarly skilled F35 pilot. I proved this tonight, I must have shot down Inc Loki maybe 6 times whilst I was in a J10. He's an excellent pilot, one of the best, and put up a fight, but every time we engaged, I managed to turn the tables and down he went. Not to blow my own trumpet, there was some pilot skill involved, but ultimately I was in ridiculously over powered vehicle compared to his.
Dice's local Chinese restaurant must have shares in the company or something, because in reality the J10 is pants compared to probably every other aircraft modeled in game, yet on the virtual battlefield, it turns like a UFO and outstrips everything else. The only plane which comes close to matching the J10 is the F18. I'm not into having all planes with the same characteristics with different skins etc, coming from a sim background, it's fun to pit your wits against and fly machines with different abilities, but the J10 is ridiculous.
Maybe someone from DICE would like to tell us why they stacked the odds in favour of the J10 so dramatically?

Doesn't work. Flying a J10, I'm confident enough to say, 9 times out of 10 I can stay behind an F35 and so can plenty of other pilots. Even if I lose an F35, it's quickly re-acquired. There's no escape from a J10 pilot who know's what he's doing and is persistent.

                    Re: J-10's.... BULLSH*T!

                    You know whats funny....

I was having a game where I was struggling with my K/D because the J-10's kept getting me, and the other teams pilots thought they were SO great, and I tried telling them how much of an advantage they had, and they we're like "You're just ****ed because you suck"

At the time my score was like 40/20/6 or something (score/kills/deaths) and I went over to the Chinese base, I jumped out of my jet... STOLE their J-10, Killed their F-18 and J-10 (we took the base, they got the F-18, then got the base back) and then asked them how it felt to have an even match against me.

Let's just say... I didn't hear them answer back, or talk the whole rest of the round.

                    :)

(I finished that game with 60 some kills, and not one more death then from when I started, 6)

They never knew a 15-20% advantage would ruin the balance completely.

Yeah, I didnt mean to say its a miracle move, I just said that it should be used because it really is the ONLY advantage F35B has. The higher max AB speed is laughable because J-10 has more AB time anyway.

I never had any problems with J-10's killing me before 1.2

God dammit... they really did mess up BF2... why can't they just roll back to 1.12...

I know some people won't agree, but in BF2, if you're flying against a faster plane, and with the missiles the way they are now, all the J10 pilot needs to do is slow down a little. Let the F35 extend away some, and he's missile fodder.
If flying an F35 and being attacked by a J10 which has closed in on you, the best defensive manouvre is to go vertical, straight up with full AB and stall in the stratosphere. Simple but effective. If you're flying offensively against the J10, use the pre 1.2 bomb hud trick and try to get some gun damage on him. If the gun's don't kill him, then let him extend, and try a follow through with missiles.

I agree. If you have a good pilot on your tail in a j-10, and you are in the JSF, just bolt for the sky, wait until he gets a lock, drop flares, and then stall up there. If you have skills you can usually recover after a while.

I J-10 SHOULD NOT BE "NERFED" <- STUPID "LEET" SPEAK

What they should do is give each plane some unique advantages as it would be in real life. Like the JSF can hover. They should also add a stealth aspect to the plane, where missles are less likely to hit the JSF due to reduced heat signature, and missles have a shorter lock distance on the JSF. Also, give the JSF the ability to cruise at higher speeds withouth the afterburner (as it does in real life).

And of god's sake, increase the ceiling for all the planes.

                              Re: J-10's.... BULLSH*T!

Personally I prefered the old system where all Air to Air missles were absolutley useless unless you were shooting at stationary helicopters on thier pads.

This way the only way to bring an enemy plane down was with the board gun which took a great deal of practice timing and skill, this J-10 noobie crap is pathetic, the J-10 can outurn at least 5 out of six missles fired at it and can land a hit on a JSF everytime unless it flares.

I even managed to out manuvere 8 missles from the essex in a J-10 tonight without using flares using the left right spiral looping method which in a J-10 fools any missile easily.

So on one hand we have a plane which can out manuvere S2A and A2A and with this capability it can also land a missile on a JSF with ease

On the other hand we have the JSF more commonly known as the IGLA magnet which cant outurn a missile to save its life, and with its poor handling cannot land a missile for the love of trying.

Spent alot of time tonight trying to get to grips with using missiles in the JSF against a J-10's and i will tell you it only works on noob pilots.

If you want to kill a J-10 its back to the old style of Bomb mode and board gun only. Whilst the J-10 is free to spam all its missles like the noob plane it is and your powerless to get away.
