there was an incredibly dodgey tank on an EA server last night dude was in it all the time and killed whole squads he just seem to move the turret really fast and it "locked" on.

same with a plane the bombs were coming towards our boat i looked at them they were falling normally for a second as the left the plane then they suddenly sped up like they were locked on to us again :-/


strange stuff has been going on alot of my squad has been noticing it to.

but eh no point in crying carry on playing the game :-D

actually, coding an aimbot for bf2 would be alot more possible than it ever was in the previous bf games. thanks to the implementation of the python interpreter, even on the client side, you can use that to collect all the player positions/rotations/weapons. the hard part is just finding a hook to bring the **** into the game on.

the good thing is, most of the cheats aren't being released publically anymore because when they do release them, it shuts one more hole down for them to exploit as soon as the anticheat tools are coded to catch them.

using the python interpreter to locate player positions/etc has already been proven also, so it is only a matter of time before it gets put to use for 3d radars and bots, if it hasn't been done already.

unfortunately, cheating is always going to exist in games, and gets worse with the games popularity (generally speaking).

Last thing you said, ironic with counter strike.

even if that was the explanation which i highly doubt, doesn't explain the bombs.

i think the best thing/only thing u can do in this case is three things....

1. notify the admin
2. report the offender
3. find a different server

then sit back, and watch the stats reset

Just be glad the hacking will never be as bad as CS:S where most people have recoil and wall hacks.

Bad hacks are on Knight Online and Day of Defeat, not as much in CS:S...Btw, Knight Online sucks.

Anyway, it may not be a hack, are you getting killed by PKMs? With 1.2 theyre tough. Anyway, it's pretty hard to tell if it's really h4x0rz or just 1337 experienced players sometimes.

I love that I have an mx510. Its great for tanks but i think the max resolution is lower on this, 1800 or something. Still great stuff though.

Personally I have NEVER understood why people cheat. Sure you get high scores and kills and things but what does it matter if other people see that you have the highest scores in the game?

And YOU can't get any self satisfaction out of it since it wasn't your skill that brought you the points it was some hack or cheat.....

I guess people just think that if they have the high scores and **** that others must worship them.

i believe the motive for ppl cheating is because they enjoy ruining the game for others, then saying crap like "i pwnted u" and laughing...

some children, and childish adolecents find some kind of joy in making other people upset, by ruining the game, and by causing grief, i dont think its for a sense of accomplishment, or even for fun...its just a way to make a lil punk giggle at the grief it causes others......the ranks/awards are just bonus

and i agree that using a cheat is addmittance of bein incompetant/incapable of gaming

Ah thought they were widely known. Do a google cant remember the website, they are a Hacker clan completely open about it, have hacks on their site too i think.

I have also noticed lately getting killed with one hit without hearing or seeing it. I just assumed it was BF2 being buggy as usual.

That's really the best thing to do.
Of all the WTF?? deaths you might suffer in BF2, less than 1% will be from a cheat.

Stressing about who is or isn't cheating isn't productive.
Feeding cheaters into woodchipers is a different story, tho.
