I have the feeling there is an aimbot marching up

Last week, and certainly last couple of days, I counter enemy's who drop me at sight, no mather what, am I running, jumping, going prone, bam one or two instant shots and I am dead, running around a corner, bam dead, running true a door, bam dead, I also notice more acusing of cheating in the game, where this wasn't used to be.

I took a whole bunch of screens for there names, and searched there stats of those guys, and strange things is, they do suck big time with infantry weapons, but when you look into it, the line takes a steep hill upwards since last week with some of them , this in points a min and kills .

anyone else having this problem lately ??

also, I think it is in combination with a wallhack

Cheats are a reality in every online game. Was it the same guy that was killing you over and over? With the right gun and the right distance, it's easy to get CS style 1-2 shot kills on someone. Now if you were getting killed while you were bunny hopping, I'd be a little more suspect. If not, try it next time when you encounter someone that you think is cheating. Bunny hopping is still effective for avoiding fire so if they take you out quickly without you being nearby consistently then I would suspect hacks.

EDIT: About the wallhack, BF2 already has several legit builtin wallhacks (UAV, spotting etc). Even a legit player will kill you in fishy ways because of it. I wouldn't doubt that wallhacks exist, I'm just saying that it would be next to impossible to determine a wallhacker based on this since BF2 has similiar functionality builtin.

While I am not denouncing your claims, most of the increase of cheating accusations are caused by a combination of not hearing/seeing shots which is a well known bug, and the increase in sniper/support accuracy.

It is not uncommon for me to look down and notice my health is in the red, athough never did i get any visual or audio indication of being shot, nor where I was shot from. When a player shoots and their gun is not heard firing by other players, most, if not every time, the players don't see muzzle flashes either.

My point is if there are aimbot cheats, I don't think they are as widespread as it may seem, simply due to the game itself post 1.2.

Yeah, what he said. Not being able to hear guns has majorly affected my gameplay. How are we supposed to react when we cant even hear getting hit?

Just be glad the hacking will never be as bad as CS:S where most people have recoil and wall hacks.

No doubt, but aimbot for BF2 would be ridiculously hard to code, anyway difference between public hacks and private hacks, I can bet theres alot of people in BF2 using their own hacks, wallhacks etc that they made themself therefore punkbuster doesn't have a clue about it.

Or maybe it's because people can't bounce around anymore. If you bunny hop you are a VERY easy target to hit. I aim at your chest and as you fall I hit your head. Simple. With patch 1.2 I take people out a lot faster than I did before.

now i won't argue whether hacks do or do not exist, but they most likely do. as i see it though most "zomg hes hax0ring!11!" stems from like 14 year olds thinking "yeah i rule at bf2 i'm the best!1" but the fact being no matter how good you are at something someone is always better. and rather than except the fact yeah this guy is better than me, has better hand eye coordination, is quicker with the mouse.keyboard, etc. than i am. they would rather accuse them of h4x0ring. no matter your rank or score or whatever someone is gonna be better than you, just deal with it. just my 2 cents.

I killed the same guy 10 times... He called me a hack.... Killed him again. Keep crying, makes it easier to shoot you.

I've have some bogus shots pulled off against me recently.

One was from a medic who headshot'd me with an AK-101. It was an impressive stunt but not anything worthy of accusing hacks over.

Then another time, a PKM'er headshot'd me as he was diving into the prone position. That struck as somewhat suspicious, but hey, it could have been luck.

Wallhacks exist, Ive seen players banned for using them. I believe that aimbots probably exist as well.
