During patch testing, a bunch of testers decided to test this out, see how high we could go. We had two squad leaders get into the bomber, and went straight up. Around 75k, one jumped out (everyone spawned on the one inside), then he got back in, and let everyone in his squad spawn on him. We had about 20 people freefalling. I believe it took an hour and a half, though I'm not sure. I have the fraps video around here somewhere.

When you hit 20k, everything goes silent except for the woosh of the wind. The afterburners and engines of the jet are completely and totally silent. A very cool experience.

I couldn't get a screenshot of the 75k jump, but here's an earlier one of 6 of us dropping from about 40k:

Nobody do this while playing normal in a ranked server. Thats why there so many bugs in 1.2. The testers waste time doing stupid things instead of testing the game in normal gameplay . 1.2 have more bugs than 1.12 . lol

Actually its not a total waste of time because they are exploring every facet of game.

what if there was a code hidden in bf2 that makes your show Richard simmons Face all the time..and it only happens when you go 2000000 feet in the air ....

well they would have discovered the bug before it would have been unleashed on the world:laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

And then we get the circular arguement of why the heck would the coders have even bothered with putting Retard Simmons in there, rather than work on bugs that plague the game.

Played on the Sir stunt server tonight and took a few screenshots and movies. Managed to get up to about 105,000 meters before I decided to bail. I kept the throttle at around 650 - 750 (mph?) and like it was said earlier in the thread, I didn't have to touch a thing once I got to about 3,000 meters.

Didn't take a screenshot past this, but I did do a video capture. Not sure how excited anyone would be to see it, though...
