I want to nknow how hing u can bail out at.. surely you die if you try and bail at like 200,000 ft... i mean.. there is no air up there! so i wonder if that happens.
I bet if you let it go up and up and up for like a day you'll come into outer space. Or the end of the gaming universe. A black void, with zeroes and ones floating about.

You better be careful, no kidding. I did that a couple of times when I played Halo, the sky had a limit but I was told you could break through if you did a flip in the jet. I did that and wound up on the other side of Halo (halo was based on a world on or in a ring, shaped a lot like a wedding ring), I could look up and see the other side where everyone else was but I couldnt get there. I was on a flat black plain (field or table). I had to quit and rejoin to get back in with everyone else.
Back to BF2, I have flown the Blackhawk to 15,000 meters. I was in game, stole it and couldnt get any gunners. Since I didnt want the USMC to get it back I just flew it in a spiral up. and when I could no longer see the buildings and stuff I leaveled off, looked at the Altimiter and it said 15,000. I flew it around up there for the rest of the game. By the way I never did get any gunners and I was a squad leader.
Anyway thats the easy way to get your parachute badge or ribbion (I forget which). If anyone finds out what the limit is please post it here. . . . . . .Red
Also if you hadnt noticed there is no air in BF2. Ever hear of a BF2 sniper adjusting for windage? Then again the soldiers do get winded and something moves the grass and trees (they appear to sway from side to side). So I guess you can go up till the game ends. Single player only, there is a radius you have to maintain to the nearest flag in multi-player.
I remember back in the BF1942 days, I turned on godmode in SP and flew out of bounds (not high in the air, just horizontally out of bounds). After a few seconds of flying I just came back to the place I started from (Earth is round after all :P) but it was a bit glitched, I don't remember however in what way, (no vehicles maybe).
I wonder how can they make the sky by so "high" in BF2.
This one time, in band camp, I was flying a jet in BF2....went really high....after 100,000 feet, I broke through and ended up playing Halo 2.....it was weird

Anyways I didn't know that you had to go slow.. Next time I play I gotta try that. :)
imagin in a game for 5 minutes just parachuting and everyone being like ZOMG glitcher! and by the time you landed the game is pretty much over...or you can free fall for about 1 min and than die
Not necessarily slow. Throttle at 3/4 does the trick very nicely. Highest I ever went was 100,000 ft before I got curious about how long it takes to freefall. And the answer is, a long time.

I'm pretty sure the helicopters have a ceiling on them.... Could be wrong, but when flying for a halo jumping squad I was not able to surpass 700ft in the BH. I call bs on your claim.
