Knowing Lugal from these forums by now I think he meant it as a joke.

"Cook me some blueberry muffins"- comeon, one of the golden jokes in the book when were dealing with women.

But yeah, the woman is right- keeping you waiting behind a closed door (hey, BTW, I close my door all the time- there are these pesky burglars around, you know) isnt right (then again, maybe she was waiting for 30 seconds and became impatient).
Then, you have to get a job, even if youre at home at the moment, you have to do the life easier for the woman when she comes home from work. You are resting all day long, give the girl a chance to rest for the whole evening (that means "duties" aswell, hell those arent even duties...)

I´m not married, but I was in a relationship where I was in college and my girl was working. On vacations I was usually at home and did everything she would have had to be doing when she came home except for cooking (I just suck at it).

In the end I was lucky, I wasnt forced to do anything, never felt like doing something was an obligation, but still- if you want to be happy, make sure your significant other is happy first.

Love is love man... If you are playing 8hrs of bf2 and completely neglecting your wife... something is wrong with the relationship. However, if you play 30 minutes she bitches and you feel bad. Maybe things are alright. All people and instances are different so... one relationship might be fine with bf2, hell it might even help the relationship if the two parties are very individual. You get the point, there is no set way to deal with things like this. Its all personal.

Imho, I lost my last gf because of bf2, but its a good thing because she was a bitch. Hot... but a bitch.

        Dude.
        I made a :p face.
        Was kiddin.
        Chill.

My ex was a gamer. I kinda sucked her in. We spent a lot of my Tribes days working together in the hover tank, doing picket defence, or just causing chaos. Hehe, we got booted for our tank capping tactics fairly often.

To bad she turned out to be totally irresponcible, immature, and unreliable.
Was fun while it lasted, but I had ta shake her off.

Really diggin the single life now.
        I get laid more.

My (soon to be) ex-wife hated me gaming even if I did limit it to emmerdale/corrie/qvc/more corrie times, so when I started living with my (now) fiance I made it plain that I like gaming, I will continue to game, I don't go out 'with the lads' on the p*ss so I saw nothing wrong with spending an hour or so doing something which lets me forget all of the sh*t stuff that is going on. (I do computer Forensics so you can guess what I see every day). Of course when she works on the weekend I can fit in 10 or so hours.........not that I have any sort of addiction problem:thatsbad:

So long as there is a balance and you allow for 'us' time, (As they call it). Oh and of course you make sure the ahem 'other' things are taken care of no problem . I have not run into Dachund's (sp) problem about ages although my fiance is 21 and I'm 42, and yes I am bragging  .

This is Dashunde's wife, the wife that is losing her mind.

My dear husband forgot to mention that he is unemployed and for a week and a half he is goofing off with BF2 thinking a job might just fall in his laps all of a sudden.

When he says "she demands attention right now" he means that he will make me wait outside till he finishes his game to open the door for me (as he locks it from inside so I don't catch him playing). Another example is that he will become completely deaf when he is fooling with this game, anything I say is just in vain.

No, I don't hate this game. I do believe everyone should have hobbies, no matter what they are. But when your hobby becomes the most important thing in your life, then it's a problem. Now, he wants to sell the game to play a good and loving husband, but he chose to do it exposing our personal life to everyone in this forum. I really hated that, and that's why he showed me that he advertised the game but didn't want me to read the rest of the posts. Well, I know the name of the game, so I could easily find this forum. I guess every story has two versions, so, although I know most of you don't care about a female's version here, I'm posting this anyway, just to be fair.

Yes, I'm from Brazil, and 10 years younger than him. We haven't been married for 3 months as he mentioned, but EXACTLY 2 months today.

Oh, he is also right when he says I'm full of energy. I guess BF2 is taking all of his though! I haven't been very well pleased, if you know what I mean.

So, someone please buy the game! I'm using some of this money to buy something useful at Priscila's.

                    Have a great night everyone!
                    Dashunde's wife

Why would he be playing BF2 behind a locked door, are you sure he's playing BF2? there are some dodgy sites around.

Do you spare him some time to fly his plane you bought for him?

                      Nice thread!

I agree with his wife. One thing if he was bringing money home and enjoying BF2 in his hard earned spare time. Another thing when his 10 years younger wife doing man's job of making income while that looser is playing his ass off in the basement.

Sad to say I feel for the wife as well. It can be maddening to see relationships slow down because one person becomes disfunctional.

I am lucky. I work all day with my wife so when we get home at night we like to shut off into our personal worlds. She likes craft forums and surfs a while or does some scrapbooking. I play BF2.

Kids are in bed at 7pm so thats when I get out the beer and switch the pc on. Some nights I will play till the early hours but most nights I switch off at 12. (Unless the wife wants an early night )

Selling this game won´t solve the problem...someone who is newly married and locks himself just to play a game isn´t normal.

Humm....I think that someone who locks himself to play a game, married or not, must have some major inbalance .

Get a job, make you wife happy, don´t lock yourself and you´ll see she won´t mind you spend some of your time playing bf2.

Como é possível estar casado com uma Brasileira e ao fim de 2 meses preferir o BF2??????????????????

To bad you can't get your wife involved in playing BF2 with you.....My husband got me involved in BF1942 and when BF2 hit we bought two copies....we have plenty of gaming time together and it doesn't affect our marriage because we are always doing something we enjoy together :)
