Absolutely. But many a time, Iv'e spot-spamed in a tank twice, in a way of saying '$hit, panic, run away, run away!'.

I feel ya. That does get across a sense of urgency, and occasionally the Voice Over will say "Bollocks Spotted" but the bollocks don't show up on the radar.

If your pressing 'Q' in other games, then your a cool spotter :)

We can all have a good laugh when people spot in boats or jets on maps like Karkand. But its no funny matter when they spot in non-existent tanks/APCs. :|:

I sometimes will spot a guy just before putting a round in his head. I personally hate it when I've spotted a tank headed for our base with all the com stuff and watch as our tank drives off in some random direction leaving the base to be capped. But a nice spotted every now and then is better than a uav IMO.

                    Spotting is crucial.

(and it really ****es my girlfriend off with the constant foreign jargon all the time!) So i allways try and 'spot' the important stuff.
BoxiouS...did you know you can set both languages for English only? Just trying to help out your girlfriend here :)

                        Re: The importance of 'spotting'

You have to spot vehicles and aircraft. As for soldiers, maybe only in key areas you can't defend. Like sniping and not being able to get to a flag to fend off the other team. You can only hope that when you do spot certain troop movements the guys you are playing with are smart enough to do something about it.

                          Re: The importance of 'spotting'

spotting is crucial but I hate when you are looking straight at a tank through your sight and spot him but they do not show up on the map, then you keep spotting the tank like an idiot and still nothing. everyone thinks you are a loser instead of a team player.

if you mean in game voices there is an options --> audio --> use English vo only.

There is a downside to this option. If you here a foreign voice you defiantly know its the enemy behind the wall. :)
