You run round a corner and see an enemy tank facing the other way and you're not AT. (most of us know that firing at it with your PKM is as much use as hitting it with your knife, and just gives away your position, but you still see it!) Do you spot it before you duck back round to weigh up your options, or do you leave it for a team mate to come flying round the corner in a jeep and get shelled?
I only ask because i found myself taking one for the team to spot an MEC tank and APC, i could've gotten out of the way but then noone would've known and ultimately the flag would've gone.(I was the only one near) As it was chopperguy heard and did what was needed, i respawned and sent the flag back to the top, happy days.
Now i don't agree with spamming the comms with the whereabouts of every troop on the map, it kinda takes the fun out of knowing there's someone near but not quite knowing where they are!(and it really ****es my girlfriend off with the constant foreign jargon all the time!) So i allways try and 'spot' the important stuff.
This is extra important for gunners in choppers, it's bad enough that most heli-pilots spend half there time trying to fight each other spinning round at about 500 feet (instead of doing their job and disposing of heavy armour) it's made even worse if the gunner doesn't spot the other chopper and i've watched noobish antics on a grand scale as two choppers dive round each other blindly whilst us ground troops get pwned by tank/apc spawn campers!
Just my opinion folks.
Oh and what really grips my sh*t (tonight anyway) is people destroying abandoned enemy apc's and tanks for no reason,if it's in the middle of nowhere leave it the f*ck alone, and if its got smoke coming out of it chances are that the bad guys aren't gonna jump back in and raise hell, (it's probably down on its ammo) and 20 seconds after you blow it up it RESPAWNS (Shiny and new and REARMED) at their base where there's probably some guy camped waiting for it and you've just 'gifted' the enemy some more points!
:hmm:Apologies for the gripe i'm just that way out.:hmm:
