Should have trip wires to detonate that could be placed at shin, waist or head height but could still be disarmed by Engy or blown with C4, not blown with grenades.

well I quess with all the C-4 chuckers GONE!!! most of you guys will have to find something eles to bitch about and it looks like you have already (only took a day as well)
Claymore = new C-4
dont blame EA, blame all those whiney little bitches who complained about idiots walking into there Claymore's and AT-mines.
Seriously guys did you think for a second that the C-4 chuckers were just gonna put down there remotecontrol and C-4 and pick up there rifles...

Now that claymores only get set off by enemys well you get the idea.

I don't know some complains are meant to be ignored. I almost never step into friendly Claymores. Just have to be careful when you see the red skull. Dieing to mines without being observant is your own fault.

Just be glad that the number of clays on a sniper hasn't been increased!
(I suddenly have great fear 4 sniper/support duo's)
I think no more claymore tk is actually a good thing.

Server settings should still have friendly fire on for claymore and mines. That should stop the majority of people placing these without care or tactics. It's a shame server settings can't distinguish between the two and have only mines immune to FF.

no its the way they have changed it. If they still went off but didn't kill your teammate they would be less of a problem on maps like karkand because snipers couldn't put them everwhere as thier own team would get rid of them.

welll imo its rel bad now, i used to love fighting in the palace and now its just a mass of claymores, lol but yesterday i did get in there as assult and managed to kill 4 snipers who had there pisols out before i got done by a claymore.... ff-off on claymores shouldnt have happened

Well first post in TotalBF2 forum, so hi...

Now to topic. You put up your clay, a friendly see your claymore and blow it up. For you its bad if the claymore is your perimeter defence (if you play as sniper).

So, its good that they can't get blown up. From the first day of BF2 the claymore FF, should have been turned off. pre-patch the claymores where almost useless because some from your team always had to run into your clay. Now they can't and if it should have been destructable. Well. Bad thing for you.

I was in Sharqi, and there was this one person ranked First sergeant, anyway he sat on the 2nd level of the crane sniping, so I picked him off with the sniper, he then spawned at the USMC hotel, which his team took over so I picked off his friend from the construction site twice then shot him once, and what a noob he kept saying in 'j' talk say all ''commander can I have supplies here plz'' everyone laughed at that, so then his friend p!ssed at me, hopped in the tank and kept firing into the construction site, not even damaging me, as I already moved up a level on the building.

Next I ran over and round to the Sharqi USMC hotel, where the same Sniper was, shot him, he got more supplies from commander, then I ran into hotel and up to the top where the stairs end, he put a claymore there, so then I spotted him at the door and bounced nades off the wall trying to kill him, he then kept trying to shoot me with Sniper, missed a few times, so I ran back down to the flag and this C4 idiot ran in throwing C4 all over the place then blew himself + me + his team mate up.

If claymores didn't kill teammates, it still wouldn't stop the other team from placing claymores everywhere and shutting the other team out. They should be made destructable again. I hate spotting a claymore and having to find a whole new route, as there isn't always another route.

yes so one of your claymores is wasted...but thats a lot better than getting a TK from it too.

yes it would as thier team would clear them out by spawning and running over them...snipers would again have to think about where they were placing them like pre 1.2 and not just be able spam them all over the place where everyone runs.

Got to agree, this is the only thing about the new patch I dislike. Seems this would be better if the ability to pick up opposition explosives had been introduced, but still, they are going to have to hotfix this, surely?

This single act could ruin the entire game in no time, half the people on a server playing sniper and half playing support, it will just be a claymore fest and you wont be able to move!
