Some people love to say that AA now just involves point and click, not true.
I think pretty much all the good pilot right now will try to strike the AA regardless at the first moment of notice, how do you keep yourself in one piece if all planes are attracted to your little AA?
skill 1. Knowing when to get into the AA and where enemy planes are.
I wonder if pilot realized that the missile's locking range is only about 100 meters? Most good pilots now can evade missile by simply flying out of range (I can take a screen of missile exploding below me).
skill 2. fire the AA round when the pilot is not actively flying away
I wonder if pilots realized that as a stationary target, AA is vulnerable to EVERY single weapons in this game? from knifes, sniper rifles, to tank cannons.
skill 3. be aware of your surrounding.
I suggest pilots to think AA as strategical asset just like artillery, a weapon of ultimate defensive function. True, it's easy to point and click, but what isn't? Aiming plane cannon to a near stationary ground target, comparing to aiming a missile toward a plane that has movment in all three dimensions, is almost the same, skillwise
Comment about air to air combat: If all your leet pilots somehow let a noob pilot get on your six and can't evade him, you deserve to get shot down. the new air to air system doesn't change the ultimate outcome (noob pilots still get shot down), but the pace is now much faster.
