Bf2 vanilla is DEAD

This game, the maps where made for vehicles, heli and air, those two are the trademark of the battlefield games. This is just one of the bunch of shooting games. AA don't give a chance to any plane or heli no matter pilot skill. Planes can't get flags. Just play WAKE island on a full server and try to get from the carrier to the island. Patch 1.2 just killed BF2 vanilla. I wander if this is a metod to make people buy the booster packs. Or maybe some new Dice game coming.

Planes and Choppers dont suppost to get flags,

Choppers take out tanks, Jets attack/protect tanks and choppers

Don't try to base rape where there is AA and you dont have a problem, I just got back form flying the the jets and i had no problem getting points, you just got to be good and know when to attack if you going drop bombs on CP with AA

If you want to stay airborne, you need to use your flares better.

And live with the idea that you may actually die while in a plane. The people who racked up 40 kills with 1 death per round in planes got a bit too used to the complete security of flying as long as there isn't a skilled enemy pilot on the server.

in battlefield vietnam you were able to do a lot more with vehicles, especially choppers when it came to capturing a cp. this game isn't like that for a good reason...this game is a realistic game (though some aspects aren't realistic) in real life do you see choppers hovering five feet off the ground? of course not. i don't want anybody to take my words the wrong way because i know that this game is not real life but it does a good job of capturing some aspects of modern warfare (ie. bf2 players use some tactics that are used in real life etc.) one more thing..don't you try to take out enemy vehicles, especially when they're owning you with machine gun fire, bombs, rockets, etc...?

I've been machine gunned out of AA sites before, I'm sure Jet pilots can continue to do that after 1.2... Just get better at what you do, instead of crying over it...

first impressions of patch = bad...

p90 sux and judging by the awp accuracy everyone will want to snipe...so either medic or sniper willr eign supreme...

movement feels so unnatural.. proning and crouching urgh... i hope they change some of this stuff...

just as some complained before this patch some will complain after so the patch shouldnt ever be made, babies should just rise to the challenge because no patch can solve their skill

Dunno, tonight was the first time i got to have a plane on wake for half a round, got a bronze medal and i am a pants pilot. AA stations are quite easy to avoid or to destroy and i aint used to doing it. Seems balanced and its still quite possible to score high in the plane.
Fact is pilots need to prioritise there targets like everyone else must in the game. Tanks dont shoot snipers if theres AT about, planes and copters must now be played with the same level of intelegence and not lawn mow infantry for points when there is intack aa.

hahaha what a bunch of crybabies, Im a pilot, and guess what? I LOVE THE PATCH! You know why? Because I play this game for fun, and not for points, "more challenge=more fun" in my eyes..
