As said, it took the best skyjocks quite awhile to develop their skills... well, time ta take some time ta develop new ones.

In the meantime, also realise that in fairly short order, AA sites will become unpopular again. For the first while, everyone is gonna wanna play with 'em to see how they've changed. Sounds like lots of pilots are gonna give up on flying. Thus, the AA monkeys will run outta targets and wander off ta do other things. Then planes can once again fly.

Now that that's out of the way. Why make the jets and helos so useless. The helos were already so vunerable from so many vehicles and soldiers. Why make them so useless?

Oh stop whining, you were used to complete air superiority (especially in SF) to such a degree that even a moderatly skilled pilot could stay in a plane or attack helicopter for the entire round. Ground defence simply wasn't strong enough to take down a pilot by themselfs. The helicopters in SF could stand off face to face with the ground AA and win, fly off and repair! Totaly stupid

The truly GOOD chopper/plane pilots will learn to adjust their tactics, probably including being less offensive and more defensive, and there shall be no more hovering choppers owning the living hell out of infantry.

Besides even if they were TOO nerfed (maybe too early to tell), i'd rather have a underpowered feature in the game which is useless than an overpowered one which swings the balance of the whole map

just played it for 2 hours, tried everything - conclusion: i hate it. the battlefield spirit is gone, its a whole different game now.

snipers and AAs are way too strong. everybody can shoot down a jet now, i mean everybody, even if planewhore is sitting in it. blackhawk is useless, miniguns dont do anything anymore. being infrantry you are getting sniped permanetely. you cant throw c4 anymore. and the n00btuber still is the same as before. i dont understand. i think i am done with this.

It proved he got a lock on and a kill... against a target that didn't flare or manuever. Am I not seeing the problem here either?

Did you notice the angle of attack on the other plane and the fact that not ONE missile missed?

Point is, if you don't have flares coming out the back, and you have lock on, you're getting hit no matter what.

I just played for a bit in Sharqi on the US side and the attack choppers are able to spam those flares at quite a pace. With tree/building coverage included, it's not easy to get a kill before the gunner gets you. Assuming they know what they are doing, of course.

Don't get me wrong, Wargimp... I am in no way giving up: I'm simply pointing out the absurdity of the situation and find myself baffled at the overall reactions. The groundpounders are ignoring the current situation because it completely favors them while I'm merely asking for balance: this isn't me asking for a free ticket to medals and high K/D ratios, this is me asking that there be actual balance or skill in the use of AA. I'm a fair person and I recognize the situation for what it is: I don't appreciate having to cower away and hide lest 10 seconds into flight I be assured a ticket back to the carrier or helipad...
