Very true.

Like a couple of months after getting the game thinking the M249 was worthless and the RPK was better and then I saw some high ranking player using one in CQB situations in kark and its amazing. And I found out you can get long range shots too.

And lately I have been raping with the AKS-74U. Even the SMG's are good at times.

I agree no weapon is totally worthless. And that with the kits you really need to choose the right one for the right map and area, regardless of how much you like that kit. As you definately dont want to be support on kubra dam, for example.

You actually believe this? How is a weapon that allows the s****iest player to amass tons of easy kills, balanced? You point, click in the general direction, and get a kill(s). Please don't tell me that's balanced because, it's not. You know this when you consistently get killed by people who you know can't shoot for s***, but know how to take advantage of a 'balanced' weapon when they see one...

Read the post again. I said the kits are 100% balanced, not the weapons. I'll repeat again: We all know that the m16 with GL that the assault kit has is better than the m16 without GL that the medic has. But therefore the medic kit has some other abilities that the assault kit doesn't have such as points for healing and reviving, and ability to heal yourself.

There isn't a point to going prone everytime you are up against someone. If you have two guys next to you, proning will just get you killed. Instead, killing one guy and then running to some cover or behind him is better. Going prone would just make you an easy target since you have to get back up again and it does slow you down.

And I also disagree that you need to go prone or jump around in order to kill people. I never do that kind of stuff because it messed up the game and I still use tactics like infantry would use, and still kill the enemy fine. When you need to bunny hop or noob tube, that makes your game too shakey and is too spuratic in order to take out a whole ammount of people unless of course you are on Karkand in which anything is possible.

And IMO, the weapons don't need tweaking really. Yes, the G3 is more accurate then it is now, but with the already high ammount of damage, it will start to rape people.

IMO, all the weapons are good, even the SMGS and especially the MP-7. The other day I was on Dragon Valley on the temple flag and I had an SMG. All I did was strafe from side to side behind the cover whenever they would spawn and just fire some rounds into their heads. I killed 4 of them myself with the MP5 until I had taken the flag. All depends on cover and how close you are. With guns like the SMGs or MGs, it is better to be in a squad since you need something to balance out your long range weaknessed unless you are really good with the pistols. If you want to be good with the AT, Engineer, and Support kits, then learn how to use the pistols since they will get the job done when the enemy is med-long range.

and the only real problem with the M95 is that its crosshairs are too large. the other rifles have better crosshairs which help get the headshots better even with bullet drop.

I suggest you read your own post again it says:

Which is complete BS. The AK-101 is definitely better than the MP5 and it isn't any harder to use.

And how would you know with 36 minutes of total playing time, 16 total kills, and global score of 49? Yeah, I checked your stats. I'm surprised you didn't say the grenade launcher is the best weapon. Put some hours, and then come back so we can talk. I don't understand why would somebody be doing that, unless you wanna play on unranked server for a little bit until you get the feel for the game before you jump on a ranked one. I personally have played on unranked servers when I had the demo only. Ever since I bought the game in late June I've been playing on ranked servers, but maybe that's just me.

I ticked the box "ranked servers only" when I bought this game, and haven't unchecked it since.

But he also might play offline.

Unranked servers are kinda fun when ur frsutrated, cause u can just TK anybody without any fear of ur stats going down/

Well, now that I have over 135 hours of play time (check for SQUiB~962) we can resume out little dispute. You were looking at my old account that had an incorrect e-mail address so I created a new one.

The weapon balance isn't that great at the moment (although the kit balance is pretty good). The G36E and G36C are a bit too good. The snipers (except the M24), the LMGs, the L85A1 and the G3 aren't quite good enough. None of the weapons are useless and I've seen plenty of people use them effectively but I've never seen anyone use those weapons as well as I've seen all the others used.

Also I don't know whether to talk about weapons or kits, as the post seemed to be about kits, but has changed to a post about weapons.

Basicly though the kits aren't balanced, look at medic for example, they'll usually come out top in any close quarters map due to their healing/reviving points, and they also get kill points like any other player.

What do the kits have to balance them against revive points?

Mines? more often gets you -8 and require an enemy stupid enough to drive over them

As for weapons, chooseing sniper rifles which were talked about earlier, the M24 is both more accurate, and quicker reloading than the 95 over long distances, its also quieter, the only disadvantage is the inability to fire through cockpits, which isn't something you'd use much anyway.

Also comparing sniper rifles, (any one), this time against against a G3, I find the G3 more accurate, and can usually get 4 shots into an enemy sniper, (once i know where they are), quicker, and more accurately than they can get 2 into me
