Re: NoobTuber or Tuber: Wheres the line?

The way people are lusting over playing with the bouncing bomb, I can foresee a new nasty name tag.

Quite afew say it don't matter wot you get killed with, people just hate. But the noobtube has such a bad name for itself. Worse than tanks, jets, you name it, nothing gets worst press than the Tube.
I guess that will go with the new patch, right? New patch will take all noobyness out of it. [sure]

Re: NoobTuber or Tuber: Wheres the line?

I never nade someone even if I have my GL out and I run into them point blank, I just switch to the pistol. I'd rather die than be a freakin noob tuber.

Someone said the GL was only meant to be used on jeeps, are you kidding? Who wouldn't give an assault troop a grenade to be used on enemy troops? If it was for humvees only assault gunners would carry regular hand grenades as well, though admittadely, I use my GLs mostly on humvees anyways. It's great for troops but FB/3-round burst is just as effective and you still have the GL for humvees later on.

I think its bull---sh*t that you got kicked from a RANKED server for using the NOOB TUBE. Server should be reported. Unless you were a total dipstick, and running your mouth.....the admins there should be warned from EA.
I think that flying the cluster bomb infested SU and dropping 5 at a time onto an enemyflag, time after time after time after time is pretty friggen lame. But its in the game. Deal with it. SO isnt the NoOB Tube.
God, what a bunch a lame people running servers.

Re: NoobTuber or Tuber: Wheres the line?

I don't like that they can kill the other without killing themselves at a 3feet range, and I think the "noob" way of doing it will only get worse with the new patch (stay back 10 feet, let it bounce to them instead)

Watch, the people complainging about "noob tubers" now will do nothing but complain about the new way in which they use the GL.

            Sad really.

            PEACE

Re: NoobTuber or Tuber: Wheres the line?

              1) AA. Look it dont work. The very few that says it does...well im confussed at best. It dont work.
              2) Bombs. God, how many times do we have to witness the same idiot spam bomb after bomb after bomb at a peticular flag. I mean really its getting old.
Course fixing number 1 would cure that fiasco. ( and **** alot of supposedly great pilots off) < cough
              3) Nade spamming. Please. Yes you can in real life toss a ton of nades real fast. (abeit doubtful as fast as you can in bf2) However to have a player toss 3 nades within 2 seconds borders the lameness of these guys moaning about GL nade launcher. THe nade launcher does take an infinity to reload. Well infinity if there are 30 enemies standing around you.
              4) Tank shells at infantry. Oook. Seems odd really.
              5) Tanks losing 1/4 health going down what i guess would be a slightly sloped piece of ground. Hmmmm.
              6) The ability of squads to change out squad leaders to advance. Squad leader dies, someone else is closer, everyone quits, re joins and boom, back in biznizz. Ok.. it works. Its a viable situtation. But is it kosher? I think not. Seems like that should be fixed, somehow.
If the so called noob tube problem gets solved..(and it wont) everyone here will be whinning about something else. Thats for certain.
Again, i used to whine about the noob tube. I used to whine about the bunny hoppers. Believe me, they dont bother me anymore. For some reason i still can knock off 50-100 points as a non point getting (those extra teamwork points, healing ammo etc.) ground pounder.
Come on guys whine about something bigger now why DICE is still supporting the game. Noob tube is hardly worthy of all these posts.

I'm looking forward to seeing how it's gonna be imporved post-patch.
Mathematically, the PKM is better at long-range as long as you're prone. It's that bad.

HowieMandel: May I remind you this is a thread about the noobtube not about the 1.2 patch. Secondly, we aint moaning, we are discussing.

Re: NoobTuber or Tuber: Wheres the line?

There are advantages to the tube but there are some serious disadvantages as well most people don't think about. With the tube you get 1 shot then you have to reload. People call me a noob when I land a nade between 2 people and kill them both at long ranges. First of all that takes serious skill in case you have never tried it before, but secondly, that's what they are for!! I am stoked that the nades will soon bounce around walls. There are SO many places I can think to use this to incredible advantage. I think the GL will be even more useful after the patch, but that's just mho

                      Tubers = no noobs
NoobTubers = you'll find out yourself

Re: NoobTuber or Tuber: Wheres the line?

People say it takes no skill to use a GL, true.
But guess what, it takes no skill to use any gun.
You point, you click, the bullets hit them. Assuming your not so retarded as to be unable to click in the right place, what essentially happens is that whoever has the best, most appropriate gun for the situation wins.
The other case is when you see the other guy before he sees you, allowing you to land some shots before he can react. Even still if he has a truely superior gun (think ak101 vs mp5) he will still probably win.
The only place this isnt really true is in the air vehicles, wher eit can take some skill to down opponents.
Teams and players win at BF2 by getting into the best position, and having the best gun when they get there.
The problem with the GL is that at close range it is almost unequivocally the best gun you can possibly have.

Yah, what a bunch of whiners. "Oh noes, I got killed by a grenade". And? You died, suck it up, find the sucker and kill him. I love the quasi-BS rules this community makes up. "You can't use the GL inside of 5 yards", "You can't jump", "You can't use X vehicle more than Y time". Come on, get over it. These instruments are in the game, they are meant to be used. Adapt or die. Those are your options. Don't think for a moment patch 1.2 is going to make 'tubing go away. Poeple are still going to us the GL, and guess what...they are still going to kill you with it.

I wont get annoyed if they use the assault rifle as their main weapon.

And only use the GL for 2 or more people at once, or for destroying on coming FAV's

Is it OK to bunny hop while reloading?

I don't bunny hop in general

However I find that after shooting 2 peeps w/ my SCAR-L I am usually close to the end of my mag, & I will find myself @ close range in a crowd of enemies

& I bunny hop my A$$ off while reloading

                              Is that ghey?

                              Am I a n00b?

Yes, it's okay. No you aren't, and no you aren't. I don't care what anyone here tells you, or what some server admin with a stick up his rear tells you. The game allows you to do these things, and thus, you can do them. In 1.2, you won't be able to jump and shot...but people will still complain, because people like to complain. They can't just play the game and enjoy it, they have to rationalize why they are getting bent over. "Oh, he only owned me because he bunny hopped". "Oh, he only raped me because he used the noobtoob. I would have gotten him otherwise LAWLZ".
