      ..
I will be a sniper because it will be freaky easy to shoot soembody down then
play bf1942, and you will learn to shoots headshot. also with the engineer weapon.

if you are pwnd by infantry man, that's mean you use it as a close range weapon??

        The M95 * already is * a one-shot one-kill weapon.

If you aim correctly (usually for the head), your crosshairs are positoned properly, and your target is stationary, it is a one-shot one-kill. I do it every day.

If you don't experience this already, then you are not doing something right, or your target is moving.

Improving the accuracy in the patch is good because it is slightly off as it is. People who complain about EA making this a one-shot one-kill rifle don't get it. It *IS* one. It all depends on the dude on the trigger.

If you could one shot kill with sniper rifles then that's all I would ever do. It would be incredibly overpowered. I'd love it. Very bad idea though.

Instead of giving us yet another bolt action rifle it would have been better
to get a semi auto rifle like the SPR. If it took two rounds to the chest to
take someone out you would be able to do it with a quick double tap.

It makes more sense too considering the usual ranges you shoot at in BF2.

I really thought this would be the direction they'd go. The MEC already have a semi-auto sniper rifle, while the USMC have a bolt action. They've got one bolt action unlock... why not give out a semi-auto for the other?

Seems to me that it would give the sniper kit an extra degree of flexibility that they currently lack.

Of cources, to balance a semi-auto sniper rifle, it would have to be fairly in-accurate or low damaging... or a combonation of both.

Good post. I agree... but would have been just a hair less nice about it.

Yeah, i don't see why it should be one hit kill, imagine how many people will spam it! The acurracy is and the damage is high, what's so good? It does the same damage as all the autos and the M24 but less than the M95. The accuracy is the same if not worse (M24) than the others. If the next patch is going to upgrade the acurracy of the primary weapons of the sniper kit, what the difference? New skin? Damn it we need more info!!!

Well, if you were a good sniper, you'd know that after you hit the guy once with your m95 and he's within short-medium range, you pull out your pistol and finish him off. At long range, he shouldn't even know where you are, so no worries.

Um, no. The autos do 45 damage per bullet and are reduced by body armor. The M24 does 95 and is reduced by body armor. The M95 does 95 and ignores body armor.

The m95 does 190 damage. this is more, but still not enough for a 1 shot kill
for a 1 shot kill, it takes about 225.
btw, the AK101 and AK47 should do more damage than the m4 and m16 cause in RL, the M16/m4 fires 5.56mm bullets, whereas the AK101/AK47 shoots 7.62mm bullets, but the m16 should be more accurate because it is higher quality
                            :salute:

Great, another 2 year old thread. Encouraging the new members to use the search option has officially gone to the other extreme.
The one shot kills with the snipers (not talking about headshots) was an open issue when EA was working on 1.03 patch, but never implemented the 100% damage on any of the sniper rifles. All you get is 95.

1-shot kill alone would be horrible, but with realistic ballistics it would work.
