Re: Loosing sound after 30 secs of gameplay
The "squeek of death" and sound distortion started happening to me last Friday night...
I don't know if it's a coincidence but it began when I disabled VOIP (re-enabling VOIP didn't cure the issue). Putting my in game settings to software/high stopped it, but that's hardly an adequate solution when I was on hardware/high. Curiously moving the windows sound control panel hardware acceleration slider from "full acceleration", to "standard acceleration" stopped the distortion and enabled me to reset the in game setting to hardware, but the squeek and a lag spike when I start a round is still there.
I'll have a fiddle around at some point when I can be bothered, and post the results.
