Ok, that was honestly the best video I've seen yet.

AWSOME MOVIE! A MUST SEE FOR EVERYONE!

      9.5/10 (I'm PICKY)

Beside the AWSOME things, I did notice some things. I hope you can take this as constructive criticism, and not something negative.

Some things I thought were not good for story. I'm picky though.

Camera was a bit too chaotic at times. I understand what you were trying to do Jaws, but went a bit over the line. However, AWSOME work at editing.

Why did the 2 MEC tanks blow up in the chase???
I know in BF 2 Buggies don't blow tanks, but neither do they do that in Real Life.

How can the guy on the .50 on MEC buggy miss the US guys?
The MEC soldiers mis waaaay too much. I get the point, but it became ridiculous...all the MG's missing, and all the AT-4s missing. If you wnat the U.S to egt away, inlcude less incoming rounds, instead of so many, and all missing. (They may not have the best training, but c'mon)

When the U.S. tank gets blown up by MEC on roof, it is obvious you used C4...and way too much. Make it realistic...go easy on C4. You can even damage the tank (right before it starts smoking and use 1 C4 charge. This may have added 'air; to the tank, and fancy, but it's not like in a hollywood movie).
I understand that if I would have never played BF 2 before watching this I wouldn't know any better, but I would still think to myself "That thign flew way too high!".

When the 3 US soldiers attack that MEC base (the one with the pool), why would you have a TANK and an APC just sit there empty? No MEC went for them while under attack? Hmmm...
You should have at least removed them.

Before the 3 US soldiers go into the base (one with the pool) you had 2 on one side, and the medic with pistol on the other. Crossfire hazzard...I smiled at that scene.

      Extraction:
How can they go up such a long ladder, and no MEC came around? Bad spot for extraction.
Also you should have made the Pilot make that landing in one shot, and not hopp like that.

      Some advice:

I agree with BOB. Have the tankers use joysticks for moe fluent tank movement.

      GOODS:
Well....besides all the AWSOME things, I noticed some details.

I liked how the camera never went 'through' a soldier/object. VERY good detail to remember for realism. NEVER do that with the camera.

      OVERALL:

Great movie, good editing. Good story, though I can predict what 2nd episode may be like (I'd love to be wrong though).
Awsome quality, and I can't wait for more.

BEST BF 2 movie in my opinion. Great stuff.

PS: In the future, PM me if you need some help/2nd opinion. I'd love to help with acting. let us know if you need anyone at all.

      Thanks!

Jaws what kind of pc do you have because it must really be kick ass to pull off a movie that good.

Re: [MOVIE] The Dissidents proudly present: Hostile Acts

This movie was created to be fast paced, and high impact. The intent was to make the movie look 'not' like a BF2 game, but rather more cinematic.

As in Hollywood movies, effects are exaggerated otherwise the entertainment value just wouldn't be there.

I understand. But don't forget who 99% of your target audience is going to be.

              RS-ROM,

Great points all around and they are being discussed very seriously as we develop the next episode. We LEARNED ALOT from this first experience as we have never done this before. with that, we now have a much better review and quality control process setup to ensure we hit upon the points that you and others have brought to our attention. Admittedly, some things we just let fly because we simply ran out of ideas, etc. But be warned, we will be reaching out and tapping community members like yourself to help with the creation of the next episode.

I don't want to speak too soon but Episode 2 is going to be far and above what we have accomplished this go around because the gloves are coming off, we know where we went wrong, and we have a more clearly defined vision of where we want to take you, the viewer. We also are alot more comfortable with the software which will enable us to get the best quality high impact shots we can.

I wish you all the best luck and success in the future. I am very excited about Episode 2.

Yeah I would be very happy to help. I can do a Russian accent.
Can also do an Arabic one (not so good, but if you don't have anything else).
I can also do that toungue yelling that Iraqis and Africans make.

Again, best of luck to you.

On that note there are some things (very few) that made it look like a game you should try to avoid next time. The most noticeable is when the medic is running and shoots a pistol, the camera was locked on to him and kept moving around and it made it look extremely obvious it was from a game so try to avoid the follow cam as much as possible, that's just my opinion but often the follow cam can take you out of the movie espiecially if the camera moves around while doing it and is too far away, it just doesn't work if you can see the whole body head to toe,

in my opinion i think the follow cam works well for close shots, really close, but ya anything thats following a whole body kinda looks weird, but this is bf2 and we all kno it so we understand.

It's a very good sign that this is the sort of criticsim your getting because it means you got everything else right and are so close to getting it perfect.

Everything is from movie soundtracks...which I had to buy for this project.

                            Queen of the Damned
                            The Rock
                            Sahara
                            King Arthur
                            Jarhead
                            The Last Samurai
                            The Thunderbirds
                            Kingdom of Heaven
                            Gladiator
                            The Thin Red Line

Other sounds came from Queensryche: Operation Mindcrime
Azan Adhan: Brother from Turkey "Adhan Call to Pray"

And other sounds were created by me using Fruity Loops as well as other editing programs like Audacity and Cool Edit Pro.

I recognised the music from Sahara because I'd watched it only a couple of hours before watching the movie but I didn't realised you used so many soundtracks because they were stitched together so well.

thanks. Oddly enough, I usually select the music and then put scenes to it. Ass backwards I know, but it seems to work.
