Awesome movie, but how did you manage to get those 2 prisoners into the crouch position?

Getting them to put their hands behind their heads was tricky and took a lot of tries.
We start on the carrier stairs, kill revive, until the person is revived without a kit. Fly to hotel, get on the mounted MG and crouch, get out while crouching and voila, hands behind head while crouching, simple

thought it was really neat.

Constructive Critisism:

1. Might want to mention DC since some of the content came from that mod.

2. Have the tankers set up joysticks for driving the tanks. This ensures analog input to the game - and allows the tanks to move at any speed. This will prevent the tanks from jumping forward and stopping in order to match the infantry speed. Something like "push stick forward to go forward" and that sort of thing.

3. One small thing to improve on includes the choreography (sp?) of the infantry during firefights. In one scene a soldier had to stop firing because another was moving in front of him.

4. I liked that a lot of soldiers used the right-click to zoom feature. This puts their faces in the sights - which is very realistic. Most people do not shoot from the hips.

5. Please use sem-auto mode a bit more, it's rare to see real soldiers opening up full blast at some of the distances that they were engaging the enemy.

6. I enjoyed the bit with Bush. It's nice to see some ties to the world around us. I would expand on that by maybe cutting to stills of osama and flag burning just to rile up the viewer and get him on the USMC side.

7. I would suggest that when the blackhawk lands, the crew should be right-clicked to bring their faces to the sights.

8. I enjoyed the arabian music - it gives it a good feel.

9. The tank gunners seemed to move their turrets faster than realisticly possible - have them slow their movements to reflect the true ability of a person to swing that heavy gun around.

10. We ate a lot of grass in the car chase scene =)


All in all a really nice and professional movie. The editing by Jaws really put a shine on it.

What demoquality did you use? A few times it seemed a bit skippy, like when the blackhawk was flying. If you haven't already got it set to it, set your demoquality to 10.

Also, I really liked the music. Great job with it, I wish I could find some music that was that cinematic and fitting to some of my movies.

Also, I'm going to assume you used BattleLauncher to make it? Because everything seems very high res and it looks great. Overall, fantastic movie. One of the best BF movies, easily. Some of it seems a bit rough to me, and out of sync, but it's leaps and bounds above most other movies.

Fraps was used for this one. Filming and editing started 5 weeks ago before we discovered Battlelauncher, we will be using Battlelauncher for Episode 2. We turned our demoquality setting to 10 a few nights ago. So yes, this was originally recorded at a 1 setting.
Actually, come to think of it, the jet scene was done with qualitysetting 10.

I completely agree with the rating of 11/10. Awesome job on the entire movie. Give your editor your first born virgin!
A 5 minute movie depending on cuts sometimes takes 2 months. This movie is up there bitting on Michael Bays' toes.
I understand where the choppiness and the eating grass angle.
Not everyone has a budget such of Michael Bays.

I have one favor to ask: Please teach us how to burn this movie to a DVD-R so we don't have to invite ppl to our house so we can brag about your movie.
I laugh at ppl who says HALO this, SUCKOM this, 360-that. It never fails. They come over and they TAKE OVER my PC coz its irreplaceable.

The graphics is awesome, the detail, the sound. I played it on 5.1 speaker, though, again I understand, the ricochets, the background chatter. Just amazing.

Can't wait for part 2. I will be monitoring this topic and this subject.

I used Nero 6, select DVD - go to Movies -Make a movie-, drag the movie in there and burn it. It's really simple. If you need additional help, I can take some screenshots.
My son played it on his portable DVD player and it looks incredible, better than on the pc.
