that confused me, almost as though you are supporting shadows, but I think i get the gist of it.
But! There are also good things about shadows which have helped me many times. Example:
Im walking around a map with building, lets say Dalian Plant, or Ghost town (in SF). Im walking around on the ground and I see the shadow of a person being displayed on the ground in front of me. From this I see where it is coming from and I look up at the top of the building next to me and I see somehwere there trying to snipe me and I kill him. Without shadows, you wouldnt have known he was there and he would have sniped you. Depending on the map, and where the sun is, shadows are displayed for many people.
