    Low vs High Settings :Pictures:

This is the difference 800x600 on every thing low and off.
and 1280x1024 (pretty standard) every thing high and on (also 6x)

Who could play with low settings??? Remindes me of pc gaming a few years ago.

    What do you play on?

the low v. high comparison has been done along time ago.

I play on low settings. For me its easier to spot infantry units trying to hide.

1024x768 @ 100Hz, with everything set to Low or Off except for Geometry on High and View Distance at 100%.

When the **** hits the fan, I'll take performance over pretty. Plus, I am usually too busy killing people to stop and admire the sublime art treatment on the gravel road texture.

with high settings, there is shaddows that could hide enimies with low you can see them no problem.

I take eye candy over performance, although I average 50 FPS in BF2 and 35 FPS in SF (MINIMUM) with a P4 3.0 GHz, 1G RAM, GeForce 6800 OC'd, with a mix of higg/medium settings.. and the settings I have on medium give me a huge performance boost but don't detract from the graphic quality of the game.

          I'm lucky.

For that effect you only need to set lighting to low. All other settings can be on high.

Agreed. I have everything on low except for view distance and geometry.

I don't notice the difference atall because as most people im to bussy killing or being killed.

My settings are Low/Medium -- Looks pretty nice. View distance at 100% Dunno, my rig isn't that great -- But it can run anything.

I play on all high most of the time. I guess i dont care enough to change my settings to make me play better.

Ah well..there will always be folks who will sacrifice visual quality for a competitive edge.

Me? I prefer to have my graphics quality set on high AND kick ass and take names
