I can only play all on low, and since patch 1.12 I can't play at all! No worries though getting new PC within the next couple of weeks, preassembled as I dont want to do my usual "Oooh expensive" *crunch* and I'm going to crank everything up as far as it will go. Turning off graphics features for an edge is just bad, if you're good enough it shouldn't matter.
Currently (Playing version 1.03 against bots *shudder* I'm a BF junkie) I'm on 800x600 with everything on low, no shadows and no AA or whatever else. Basically the lowest settings you can get. Oh and view distance to 75%. I generally get about 28-29 fps max, dropping dramatically in big fights. Its not too good, but I still did ok before it became unplayable for me.
I didn't realise that the track on Kubra Dam actually was a road with lines on it lol

playing on low is mutch better,
i play as sniper this helps me alot,
1.the high grass gfx get in the way on low its not a problem.
2.no shadow areas --- but ppl with high think there hiding lol -boom .50 in da head.
3.games runs as fast as it can
4.60hz on high res is bad for youre eyes(not some ppl have high refresh rate on high res but not all)
5.reason you can have low ?(thank ea for there minimum requirments)
yes it looks great on high but i still play on low if i had a faster card/cpu
ppl on super machines with awsome gfx should try low they problay get 100fps continusly even in a hetic fire fight.

low low is da only way to go.

ppl on high make them for me when they hide in a (what looks to them a dark area),when in facked they are standing out like a sore thumb resulting in boom .50 followed bye lol ta from me :)

but im not trying to make everyone go low thatas youre choice but in my view all online games are better on low why u ask?

the "game experience may change during online play" kinda points that out!
basacaly means you could be owned by a low settings underpar cpu lol
ok it doesnt quite mean that but its true about being owned(ish)

i keep high gfx for offline games where they work best in my view.
anyhow shell shock smudgies youre high gfx for a few sec/low dont see mutch diff :) <--j/k
anyways that all i got to say on the matter.

I love graphics. And i dont stop and admire the scenery, but its nice to have that added realism, i think it adds to the fun, I play on Medium/high and get 20-30 fps... I cant wait to build my new PC to achive the best graphics possible for that game with high fps.

Tank is an Abrams, and it's probably US, because it says LAV-25 aswell up there on top as a friend and the engineer there has a MEC skin.

ppl that can play on high think they got an advantage becuase they got expensive gear(well some)
but what matters in this game is youre score and running smooth not youre gfx(my view:) )
give it a try u might like it.after all it is a option for the user to chose so its not cheating or anything :)

I play just fine with max settings and I rock up all the servers, like 1st to 3rd in the server every round (if I played from the start of the round.) Maybe a 4th or 5th here and there. . But I mean, dont sacrifice awesome graphics which make the game look much better, just so there isnt a shadow on a sniper. I think with the worse gfx, everything is so bad you cant tell the difference between a sniper and a rock. SO I would play high settings more.
I like better gfx it gives it more realism and makes you feel "cooler" when playing.

i think u misunderstood what i meant by shadows hehehe

basacaly on high/shadows on/dynamic light blah blah
if you are hiding in a alleyway/building with a shadow cast over it you look invisible but when u play all low its just a plain background no shadow and a player is easy to spot!!
example
1.you standing agaist a white wall!! to me (with low settings) i see a shadow of a persons sticking out like a sore thumb.
but to a person on high this area would be dark with a shadow cast over it thus giving an impression of not being seen.
hope that makes more sense to you.:)

p.s on low you can spot infrantary from 500k away due to the poor gfx detail.
to get a better understanding just give it a go all low but view distance max ,res doesnt matter if u can hande it high.

1280x1024 everything on high though considering turning lighting to LOW to test if no shadows really makes any difference.
