...To comment on-topic. I think the USMC pilots who bail to steal MEC planes are straight *******. I agree that they know they wont be able to compete with the MiG (for their own lack of skills) so they try to get the MiG to not to compete with it. Legit, everything is legit, but its an act of a coward nonetheless.

As I said earlier in this thread, I bailed to steal the Mig but didn't fly it that round. Rather, I landed it on the carrier for a teammate. I was going to be AFK for a drink break, yet still wanted to give our team the advantage.

I have no qualms with fighting Mig's with F35's. They're both about the same in my eyes.

I hate those idiots (like you soup nazi) who fly straight to the MEC airfield, bail out of your perfectly good plane so you can steal a MEC MiG. If you can't win a dogfight in your USMC jet then don't fly. Weak.

i do too because:

a) thats time my team has one less jet in the air

b) they probobly wont live to get it

c) the people that do this are usually the same people that tk for vehicles

on the flip side i am perfectly fine with jet stealing, and i think its fine to bail if you have no way of rearming or repairing, its also fine to do if yer jet is about ot blow up.

It wasn't mine. I was getting in a tank to guard the artillery. You bailed right in front of me. I think someone in an LAV tried to shoot you as you took off but they didn't stop you.

Anyway, glad you accepted my apology. I was a bit would up today. I'm prone to having such fits so just ignore it in the future, it's really nothing but my mental instability.

BTW, I killed colony today on MG. He was waiting for a plane to spawn on the mec side. I was commander. I didn't know he was there until the arty dropped and his name came up.

He did get me back in, naturally, a jet. He bombed me to hell. Bast*ard.

Personally I think it's ok to steal a plane and a great tactic if you can get away with it. Opens the game up a little more when you have to consider defence.

I was pubbing last night and an opposition squad had set up a nice camp on top of the hanger. C4'ing & sniping away they created quite a bit of havoc.

As much as it was an annoyance, I was delighted to have some creative gameplay going on instead of the usual flag-to-flag battles.

lmao the original topic reminded me that once our team had 5 jets on wake island. we were on USMC. we stole their J10's, and someone got in the F18 after the airfield was taken by us. and... we seriously needed some air traffic controls.

No kidding. It's crowded enough when your team has 3 up in the air at the same time all fighting for the other jet/chopper kills.

yeah, that time, no matter which airfield i went for rearming (either the original chinese airfield or the carrier), i always saw a jet flying by.

I wish they make it like the reality mod. You should not be able to get in the enemy's jets/choppers/tanks. That will make the game more balanced and stop those who like to play GTA in BF2.

This isn't a technique that isn't frowned upon, it's a good tactic, if he is better with the Mec jet he can do that too, benefit for your team. It's fine, good for them, it's easy to shoot jets down when they're taking off, I don't find it lame at all.

How is this an exploit ? Flying jets are not exploits, using enemy cars is not an exploit, using enemy APC is not an exploit. You are offered things in this game and you are allowed to use them.
