I cant believe people are arguing with this kid. He is absolutely right. I have to respect all of you people though with your idiotic tips. Of course your going to move no matter what is being shot at you. The point is the Anti-Tank rockets are a cheap weapon hands down. If i was a loser like most people I would also use the AT on infantry, but guess what for some reason (scratches his head) i use them against armored targets only. And also the fact is a normal moving soldier is not going to be strafing from side to side and jumping like a moron if he knows nothing is coming. He is going to walk/run, and even so did you all know the AT can be guided and if you can catch a apc moving across the screen how the hell will you not be able to hit a slow moving soldier. And the weapons are fine they have a close quarters weapon the sub machine guns, and a medium/far weapon the pistol. I take on plenty of people with just a pistol and i usually have one of the highest killcounts on the game by using the rockets against armor and the pistol/sub against infantry.

You have to be really lazy and unaware to get killed by the AT rocket. It has no splash damage, and the smoke trail and travel time give you plenty of forewarning - all you have to do is sidestep a few feet.

I play AT some of the time, and let me tell you, that rocket is not any easy killer. You have to stand still and hold your sights on target, making you one big "shoot me!" dummy. As for close range use, have you ever considered this:

AT Guy #1 is running down the alley, pulling out his launcher to smack the tank his buddy has spotted.

Enemy SpecOps #2 is currently around corner.

#1 rounds the corner, and finds himself staring into a G36C. Not having time to change weapons and get pasted, he aims low and fires.

#2 dies, gets ****ed about "n00bt00bs"

#1 now has to fall back and reload before engaging the tank he was trying to get to.

That situation is quite common. No sensible AT would wait until visual confirmation of the enemy tank before drawing his rocket if it's on UAV. No, he'd ready the launcher, and prepare to shoot 'n' scoot. If you happen to jump in his path while he's setting up, he's probably going to blast you with whatever he has, since changing weapons would get him obliterated 95% of the time.

If you have the "guys head" on your crosshair, why don't you just shoot him?
What exactly is the problem here? That you are KILLED because you're a lowsy sniper? That you are killed? What difference does it make wether you're killed with a rocket, bullet or a knife? When you're dead - you're dead, you get to stylepoints in BF. If the AT guys see you before you kill them, you're not that good sniper. :laugh:

Sometimes you have to be AT the whole round since there's an endless amount of tanks coming against you all the time. Like in Karkand, if you're MEC and defending the southflag. Also, the AT missile is better AA weapon than Stinker missiles.

I use the AT Rockets on people because it does the job, if you can not dodge it... thats your own problem.

I personally dont even complain when I get shot with the nade luncher... it can get ennoying, but its a gun and its part of the game..

I use AT for people when I have to... OBVIOUSLY, my priority will be the tanks... if I dont see tanks, why should I think... nooooo I can shoot the poor prone dude with a rocket, ill try with the smg... WHY ? its war...

So you can't run over people with cars either, because vehicles are only for transport and not for killing? It's so annoying when people use APC for killing opponents, instead of transporting troops! I mean assault troop does have his rifle against infantry so he shouldn't use an APC!

The submachinegun on AT is a ****ing joke. It's inaccurate on any range and very weak. DAO is ok but only on very close range. BF isn't meant to be realistic but if you shoot someone with a god damn ROCKET he should die from that.

To me, the original posters problem seemed to be that when he is "supporting his team" and lying down on some predictable hideout, he gets killed and he calls others noobs. AT is used very much against tanks armor too.

BTW, I really hate it when noobs use assaultrifles against me when I try to kill them with pistol and they kill me! They should use pistol like I do!

I too have noticed a vast increase of people using the Rocket for personnel. You have a Submachine gun, use that on infantry as AT = Anti TANK not personnel.

I can see this becoming the new "noob toob" very soon!

LMAO I cannot believe I read an AT rant :laugh:
I shoot proning spec ops in the face with my Eryx all the time. If they can't hit the spacebar quick enough and strafe then it's his fault that they get hit by this 20km/h snail. Of course tanks/APCs are priority 1 to counter, but sometimes I just have the urge to get rid of my ammo in other ways too.

I don't have any other option to take out people at ranges further than 40m when playing as anti tank. Especially not a sneaky little proning G36 specbastid who is aiming at my head.... I will try to make as short of a process as possible
You have more than enough time to evade an AT coming at you but I guess most people really enjoy the incoming AT Missile on their screen. Is there a smilie painted on it's front? I agree it is sometimes very fascinating to study it's flight path while it's coming at you.

I also don't consider GP30 or similar "noobtube2 as skillless in combat situations. I just don't like the cheap hop'n'nade at your feet tactics being (ab)used. But I've also countered those many times by jumping up myself and emptying a full DAO-12 clip on his body.

the anti tank missile launcher has very little splash damage, you have no reason to whine about it. i dont use it like that, but i dont see anything wrong withsomeone else doing so. its not like they shot it near you, they shot you directly for it to kill you. it takes them a while to reload the thing so just dodge then start shooting. think darnit, think!

ps the only thing that was wrong with the grenade launcher was there was no range to arm, 1.2 fixes that. thus in 1.2 anybody bitching about the nade launcher is just a silly nooblet.

What annoys me is that people cant use pistol for long rang, or even close range, i mean get some skill and use bullets, there is no skill at shooting an AT at infantry.

Im also starting this because all the noob tube bitchers will come back after the patch and bitch about the AT noobs.

Using on Infantry only shows how sorry you are at taking down armor.

wow.... you know if you're getting owned by AT missles, I can imagine how bad you get owned by rifles that can actually shoot accurately at range. It freaking hard to hit a point target with a AT missle, and it takes a long time to get there. If you die by AT missle, you deserve to die.
