Re: Commanders should not be able to spot "un-prone" snipers
IMO a sniper should NEVER be prone, unless he has an excellent spot. If you know someone sees you, I think you should be crouched, or standing, or move in between the two. Because with prone, it's almost always, either a headshot, or a miss. Crouched or standing, you will most likely be moving if you know someone sees you.
Another thing I see "snipers" do ALL THE TIME... DON'T sit on the top of a hill... or the "top" of anything... that is REALLY predictable, and on top of that, you can see the "bump" in the "horizon". Your eyes look for things like that, along with movement. The trick is, to lay in the middle of a downwards hill, facing outwards, and make sure the thing behind you matches your ghille suit. One of THE BEST sniper spots I know of, is on mashtuur overlooking the backyard. You are invisible. The ONLY way someone will see you, is on a UAV/spotted, or if they see your muzzle flash.
But then again.. you should also know, the snipers job isn't to kill as many people as possible... It is to spot every important target you see, taking out standing targets, guys in turrets, and running targets (if you can). What I do is scan around and make sure no one is looking at me (so they don't see the muzzle flash), AND... ALWAYS go for the headshot... because if you miss, they get a big nice red arrow pointing your way.. and I can GUARUNTEE, they will change their direction to you and try to spot you, and the whole time will be bunnyhopping etc. like a mofo.
Lol I kinda got off topic there...
