I disagree with you depending on the situation.

If the server has a rule saying something like no whoring...
Then it would be to encourage newer player to have a chance at trying new things.

You were in a jet, 5 rounds without dying...
they are not saying that you should die to give others a chance to fly but maybe since you are soooo freaking good you can eject out of your plane after half the round, and prove to everyone that you are also good on the ground...

Bottom lign is that you have to respect the server rules because they are in place by those who pay the damn bills and they run their server the way they see fit.

Either they can be gay little kids that ban for being skilled
Either they can be friendly people who dont care about skill who wish to enforce rules to help out less skilled players to get better
Or they can say everything goes and the most skilled players get to dominate (witch I see nothign wrong with)

You maybe extreamly skilled, however you seem overly cocky and not that bright for not being able to understand other people's points of view

You obviously havent played at MG if you shout out such chlidlishly ignorant accusations. Go check them out.

Fact is, this guy generated this thread to feed his ego. If he wanted to get unbanned, MG has a section for this on their forums.
Fact is, MG is trying to set up a balance of their own on their servers.

Hmmm... I obviously haven't played there huh'? I have. Now that I have played on the server, I'll stand by my claim that's childish to kick someone for using a vehicle well. Even if you deem it annoying and unfair.

Jets can be shot down by other Jets. If your team doesn't have a pilot to match it odds are you're screwed in terms of "Air Power". Yet. Jets can be avoided and rounds can still be won without your team having any worthwile airpower. It just takes teamwork (Which takes effort, somthing people tend to NOT want to put forth), and the understanding of your other assets.

Futhermore. I'm not a blantant planewhore. I'm a well balanced player who has trained myself to use EVERY weapon in the game available to me (Short of Bunny Hopping, Close Range M203, and Dolphin Diving with are deemed exploits by even EA themselves). Colony's motives are obvious. But! His point is valid.

I think that pretty much puts MG in the wrong, cease and decist?

EA states that we cannot single out a player for using a particular vehicle, nor are we allowed to limit a vehicle to only certain people. What we are doing, limiting the AMOUNT that ANYONE can use a vehicle is perfectly within the grounds of the EULA and we have allready recieved EA's blessing with this rule. Colony is free to use the plane, but we ask that he not use it more than two rounds in a row to give some of our other players a chance to fly.

So far he's spent 314 h of his near 600 h total as an aviator! Then 88 h are spent in a helo. A K : D ratio of 5 : 1 based on jet kills. Infantry weapons stats are at best mediocre.

I find it amusing when people claim great skill in flying jets. Like everything in BF2 there is a certain amount of skill in learning the role. This applies to all areas including jets. Once learned however, to claim jets require a great amount of skill to dominate the scoring boards is farcical. Jets are overpowered compared to everything else in BF2 and therefore are popular choices for the egocentrics like our friend colony here. Why else would teamkilling for jets be so common?

Simply put the most skill in this game comes from being a good infantry player - one who has an impressive K : D ratio on the ground and good squad and teamwork skills. Until the rock paper scissors aspect of BF2 is restored and jets have an associated danger to use them, then a good jet pilot is simply not impressive. The advantage and safety in using a jet compared to being on the ground is vast!

I'm an all-rounder, who enjoys playing a bit of everything in BF2 and I've managed a K : D in jets of nearly 3 and I use keyboard and mouse.

I've heard shouts of "get into jets to keep opposition jets busy and stop them bombing your flag points," etc. Maybe on some maps this is possible, but on most, it's not uncommon to see the fast loading jet whores to be at the other team's base bombing their planes before or during take-off. This process is repeated and can essentially nullify opposition air power for the entirety of the map. Not saying colony himself particularly does this, but it's definitely a popular tactic among the aviators on maps like Gulf of Oman.

And about "nullify the opposition", there is no way to do that in Moongamers server, because there is no spawn camping. The other jets always have a chance to come at me.

I like Wake Island. I think I just recently had my best round on there not too long ago at Roxgaming 24/7 wake server. I love killing the J10 pilots who think they are safe to baserape the carrier, then I baserape them at their capturable flag.

And about the thread, I'm done with it. I've spoken my mind on the issue, and have come to terms with their rule. I still play there regularly. Others are now keeping this alive, like those who keep pointing out my stats.

yea i got kicked for owning the tv station is Shaqui, i strafed the aa b4 hand as well before i attacked the station, so i wasnt n00bin out in the clouds either.

The only problem i have with the MG servers is that SOMETIMES there are no admins on. When this happens all hell breaks lose, tkers, spawnrapers(uncapp flags i mean) and all kind of things that shouldnt be done. That is the reason that i got banned for 48 hours once.

It had been a hard day on the server with tkers spawnrapers and everything, with no admin to do anything about it. So than noobie1 comes in and overreads us talking about it and says something along these lines" Who is the person who is doing this, I will ban them." and me being very p1ssed off and very stupid i make this dumb comment to him "Shutup noobie1 your not an admin" i said it because nothing had been done yet so i was ****ed and didnt want somoen coming in acting like an admin.
Well i see this message come across the top of the screen. " 33rd[ss]punisher come back in 2 days and tell me i am not an admin" LOL that was the funniest thing i had seen all day. Even though i was banned, that comment he threw in there made me laugh. Dont start flaming me saying tjhat i deserved it either because i kow that i deserved it. I made a childish mistake when i said what i said, and i payed for that mistake.

So when i get unbanned its all good, i go play in there some more. But this time i converse with some of the admins and get to know them. But even than people are still breaking rules and nothing is being done. So i say " why are you not banning these people for tking for vehicles, bombing our main, etc.etc." and the answer that i would usually get back would be a " I have to see it happen to do somethign about it" I know that they cant just believe someone and ban a guy just because someone said he broke a rule. But it gets out of hand sometimes.

One of my friends got banned for that reason. They were bombing usmc carrier and once we finally shot him down my teammate jumped in a jet and just started shotting their planes as they took off because we knew what they were going to do. Guess what happens, my friend gets banned for killing at nocap base but the other mec guys dont.

Than i got banned again 4 days ago for doing something that an admin said i could. I dont remember which one it was but people were complaining about usmc guys running them over in jeeps at mec airfield and this guy was telling them how it was legal as long as they dont shoot a vehicles weapon. So i ask him if we are aloud to use the apc's to run them over(it has better armor and is still almost as fast as buggy) and the admin says yes i can as long as i dont shoot. So i have some fun and i run 2 guys over but than a guy spawns on me and starts shooting the side gun just as i run over the admin who said that i could run people over with the apc. So what happens you ask... Well the admin decides to ban me for it.

Basically moongamers is a great place to play and i enjoy it alot except when those kind of admins are on. noobie1 i am cool with now because we had a conversation while in game and hes a pretty cool guy. and it was my fault when he banned me. ster,lin you guys are cool also when i have been in there. Ive actually played with all of you in a squad b4 and it was fun.

Do you have the joystick hat mapped for mouse look? ...you were on me like glue for a good 10 minutes and I just decided to bail out because I couldn't shake you for anything.

Maybe you just dont know, but in that server, and on Wake Island, the chinese main base is capturable, so why not bomb it to all hell? Not to mention the fact keeping the J10s on the ground/out of ammo is pretty vital to getting a win on that map when on USMC. ROXgaming Wake 24/7 allows it cuz its a cap flag, and they allow the carrier to be molested as well. :laugh:
