Re: Kicked for being too good in Moongamers server?
Ok Now I finally got a few things I would like to say MWHAHAHA!!!
First off. Maranello, what admin experience do you have in BF2? I don’t see any records in this topic stating where you admin at. Second off we follow the W/K/B policy, BUT there are times and situations where you cannot enforce the warning and have to go straight to the kick/ban. We send out general server warnings for basecamping all the start of the game and even throughout the game, nullifying our warnings. Third off nobody is personally attacking anyone and if you are taking offense to what has been posted then I recommend you need to sit back and clam down. Admining on Oman is no easy task by any means, especially if there is one admin on the server. Majority of our Oman admins are still in training and it takes time to perfect the art of admining. Admining is not for everyone, alot of people fail the training, but in the end when these junior admins become admins, they will be coming in with the best judgment and natural personality that we train them. It’s not as simple as it looks and for the sever being up for only approx 2 months, it has came a long ways. If an admin doesn’t see something that you see and isn’t responding to the chats, then come onto Teamspeak and notify them of the problem. Sitting there chat spamming the issue is not effective, unless 3 to 4 different people complain about the same thing. Nothing is going to always be fair. We can't make the server 100% fair, it’s physically impossible. We will enforce the rules as much as we can, but there will always be stuff that will slip by, not because the admin chooses it to, because it’s impossible to catch EVERY SINGLE person who is violating the rules. Besides nobody has mentioned exactly what our spawn camping rule entails, and how we proceed to enforce the rule, so not knowing that makes it that much more difficult for anyone who is not a MG admin to say "hey this admin is not enforcing his rules".
3 rounds are not enough to make a valid argument to say that our admins are poorly. For those who are just discovering our community, have you been on our Teamspeak? Have you looked through our forums? Are you familiar with our system and processes? I know this much 3 rounds on Oman is not enough to get familiarized with all of it.
Maranello, I totally understand where you are coming from. Im not trying to flame anyone or any community out there. Every private community runs things differently. We all have our own style. I appreciate your opinions on the how you think a community should be run, but it’s never that simple. I have been in management and admining for years now and every BF2 admin from a private server knows it’s not that simple.
Join us on Teamspeak, I would really like to get to know you better Marenello. You seem like an intelligent guy and you raise excellent point of views and thoughts that i think are valid, I would gladly welcome a friendly chat from one fellow gamer to another.
Thanks
Matt
