Colony has no place whining. I've seen him on moongamers and other servers baseraping, n00b ejecting, acting like a total jerk and willfully breaking whatever rules are present on the server. And people thought I was bad. The MG admins aren't angels either. Definitly some of the worst admins I have ever seen. I've seen up to 5 admins in the server at once playing meanwhile they're oblivious to the 2-3 jerks that have managed to rack up massive TK's with scores in the negative hundreds. Then when someone complains about it, they ban the complainer for "disrespect". Well maybe if the admins were on the ball and listened to the 10 or so players that are constantly nagging the admins to take action against tardsmacks then these players would not be in a position to rightfully smite the inept administration.

Look in defence of admins in general you have to understand what its like to admin. If you have never been an admin then you will not ever understand what its like.

I believe moongamers work in a similar way as we do, that is if they don't see it with their own eyes they can't take action. Some may ask why, can't you take the word of someone on the server, frankly no you can't unfortunately because more often than not they lie. For whatever reason, they have a grudge against someone, whatever but we have found more often than not that unfortunately we get lied to and I bet its the same everywhere.

That screenshot means nothing in my eyes and proves nothing! The guys was lying down for a start!

Now people racking up more than a negative 100 score is a different story. For a start that is not possible on our server. I believe they had tkpunish turned off and misunderstood how it worked as they had tkpunish on by default. I'm sure they have learnt from that now and understand how the tk system works after I had a chat to them about how they had it setup and I'm sure they have since made a change in that area. Anyone with a -100 + score is obviously a blatant tk'er and surely they would realise this. I hope they do atleast.

Look its not easy to admin, admins are humans and they make mistakes, but remember this admins pay to play so you can play for free!

I agree with you. Also, that server becomes a total chaos when there are no admins. I was playing there one day, it was early in the morning, and there was this guy with 303 clan tag. He had around -500 or so points. He didn't let us get off the carrier for one second. He parked his blackhawk in the middle of the carrier. He dropped 3 supply crates near him (he was sgt. major, so he kept being commander) and he killed everyone on the deck.

The second admin came, he left. But then i realized, he was already in their teamspeak and was checking to see if there were any admins in their channel.

I have been playing there for almost a month and i have never seen any unfair ban or kick. Their rules might be controversy, i understand, but whenever there was an admin, they did enforce the rules.

Whenever someone TKed me or spawn raped our carrier and i told the admin, in 2-3 seconds, i either saw that guy kicked,warned,or banned.

However, there are quite large amount of people on the internet complaining about the MG server. We always see complaints about servers, but there are really very rare cases where there is more than 1 complain about the same server. In the MG case, It's not just 1 guy (colony). I have seen threads in planetbattlefield, EA UK forums, EA GAMES forums, our forum, and in their own forums. And please don't misunderstand me, even though these people did disagree with their rules, their complain was basically "abuse of admin powers". But as i said, i never saw it myself neither any of my friends.

Look I might sound like I'm backing them up but I'm only seeing another side to the story. I have not seen anything anywhere else about them so maybe there is more to this story. I have never played on their server either. Their rules are definitely complicated I must say and I'm not sure I really still fully understand them after them being explained multiple times but I can assure you what I know of their rules they are fully legal.

Maybe I need to sample it 1st hand to get a more informed view I guess.

Unfortunatley our server can be the same way with some people when they realise no admins are on. But the way I look at it is, that it then becomes like any other server that never has admins on though only some devious types usually plane whores who blatantly go out and break the rules when they know no admins on. Where they stuff up on our server we can download the BR demos when no admins are on. So even though we may not take action when it happens it doesn't mean we can't later on. Some are dumb and don't realise our BR actually works and unlike some it doesn't tell lies. As they say a picture tells a 1000 words and I suggest moongamers setup BR so they can backup their decisions.

Well i am not denying the fact that he might be lying. But i zoomed in and increased the quality of the picture in the photoshop, and the wheels of the plane and the admin totally lines up. If you look really carefully and closely, you'll see what i am talking about.

Also, you can not go to prone and wait in that exact position for plane the spawn. Why? Because if you do stay there (in prone) right where the wheels are, whenever the plane spawns, you will fall down to the water (it happened to me 1000 times), the plane will basically push you to the water because of its physical existance. The part of the plane where the wheels are attached to fuselage AND the wings, will not let you stay there waiting for the plane. You must wait a lot closer to the edge. So based on this fact, it is unreasonable to expect that he was waiting for the plane to spawn and then switched to BF2CC. It is 100% clear that he positioned himself like that "after" the plane spawned not before. Well of course this doesn't prove that he did it to get himself teamkilled.

I mean we could go on like this for days debating the validty of this picture I am definetly not denying the fact that the poster of that image might be lying. I am just saying, the probability of what you are saying to be true is a lot less than the probability of what i am saying to be true.

I don't know i mean its really interesting picture.

Just to let everyone know, the thread has 423 posts and 7681 views so far. I think it's the longest thread i have ever seen since i registered to this forum I am not closing it, because for some reason the level of maturity hasn't gone down at all. Maybe it's because i am one of the people involved or maybe it's because the people who participate are mostly adults

The screenie could be a piece of photoshop mastery, I doubt it, but it is possible. :)

As for the whole thread and its claims, if you have a problem with the server, Fair enough, go tell them ! Sure you can inform others of your encounters but ultimately your beef lies with the server, their admins and you. Noone else can make it better. Bar maybe stroke your ego.

On a whole my encounters with Moongamers have been great, though I havent played on their server so I cant and wont comment on the game play there. My impression of them is based off our TS conversations, nothing more.

I guess in the end Im saying if you want to keep this going and truly believe there is some kind of injustice in their action do it on their forums http://www.moongamers.com Once you have your info or result from them and the final dicussions/descision on the matter, then bring it here if you still feel its wrong. Be warned though, bringing it here means nothing , does nothing, solves nothing. Yes it informs people, but they will see both sides and always make there own minds up anyway. The better avenue of action is to do something productive about it. There are plenty of threads here on totalbf2 telling you how to report servers that are not complying to the ranked server rules or obligations.

In my eyes this thread is just a bashing session now, not just on Moongamers but also on other players involved.

It needs a big key turning action in the lock. :locked:

The admin DID indeed force the TK, unfortunately I do not have the picture to back it up. As you also stated, you cannot be in that position without the jet pushing you out into the ocean when it spawns. Even if you are prone before it spawns. The admin clearly made the decision to force a TK on someone. Definitly not the first time I have seen fishy things going on at MG. I'll be sure to keep an eye next time since people are "interested" now.

Racer is a nice older gentleman (53?). He's not interested in plane whoring, although he does love to fly. I have seen him ask others if they want to use the jet, and I have seen him give it up. He does usually lay down to access BF2CC, but I cannot say what he was doing here because I do not know. I will ask him what was going on. Forcing TKs does not sound like his style at all.

Photoshop? Sure, could be but I doubt it. Why go to that much trouble?
