the easiest way to get the badge - have a friend to be squad leader, then two of you go to enemy's spawn and camp there..as soon as they respawn knife em...if you die spawn on your hiding squad leader and repeat the knifing...works very well on karkand

You wouldn't guess...But the easiest way to get it: knife only server

FYI Knife only serverd are considered by EA to be stat padding and you are taking the chance of having your stats whipped if you play on them. I would advise aggainst doing that and stick to doing it the honest way.

Also, I agree with the coment of charge the troops with your knife..Thats how you get expert, nm baisc and veteran because they are just easy.

I don't have the expert badge, but today I came close to it, very very very close (had 17 knife kills and round ended, could knife myself) , was on Ghost town (for SF owners) I think this is the best map, when the enemy team has the midle flag, you can go up on the ladder and there is a very very big chance there are some snipers there all looking at other direction of the ladder

I have tried for this golden knife badge several times now, got even 17 kills in a round and tickets where up (****ers) , I am going totaly nuts on this badge

I have an excellent tip to share.

Got my knife badge the other night with the help of some friends by using this very tactic.

Map was Karkand:

Get together in a squad and make sure that you have a couple of people who can do some flashbang lobbing. When the time comes, have your fellow squadmember throw a flashbang blinding the bloody **** out of your enemy. When that happens run in with blade swinging and enjoy the kills! :evil:

In Warlord they (snipers) love the top of the TV station, or whatever it's called in SF, instead of capping the flag, go to the top and hide, picking them off as they come out.

I got my veteren on Devils perch in assualt class. Its a good map cos most people are to preoccupied with falling off cliffs so if u use the grappling hook u can climb up and knife them as often they lie there sniping from high ground and the pathways are narrow to beserk on non snipers :)

here is a funny tactic for SF users I've created with my friend:
Play on Night Flight, drive around in a quad, and the most important part - the cargo plane flag must be capped by the other team - this means people will spawn there, drive near the plane and search for the enemies who spawn there, when they stop, crouch, prone, look somewhere else drive near them - exit the quad and the knife is yours, repeat the process till you're satisfied ^^
this strategy evolved from the suck-my-wheels tactics, which means you drive around in a quad and run people over - they can't really do anything to you and on Night Flight they won't even see you XD

Thanks for the tips guys, I can see now why
it has taken me so long to win medals, badges and
rank, I have more game time than most majors and
im still a SGT.
Im going by the rules I was trained by in the Army
Rangers, I see I got to be more ruthless to get anywhere
since its only a game I see now there is no problem being
a sneaky killer.

Hm... easy knife kills are found in snipers nests; provided you find them- they're usually so drawn into sniping that they've forgotten that there's also the rest of the battlefield behind them. Hm... just wondering though... it's possible to set claymores off with grenades, right?

Quick wits can also be good for knife kills, you see the enemy reloading their gun or pulling out their pistol instead? whip out the knife and go for ya life.

Also, I've done this many a time- this was on Mashtuur, when in an APC or any other vehicle going up the ramp towards the US base point (or the initial US point); there'll usually be someone or a few people in the sentry post (the little bunker-tower cordoned off with sandbags), they'll be hiding away from that vehicle, looking for a chance to strike, so they'll be watching the vehicle the whole time. Don't stay in the vehicle until it gets to the flag, get off when you're almost at the top of the ramp, go there and knife the guy.
The general tactic here is: if transported in a vehicle, and you see enemy troops up ahead- their usual mentality is to get rid of the vehicle, thus focusing on it, if the vehicle goes beyond them to stop- that means you have a chance to get out of the vehicle, whilst their attention is focused away from you and on the vehicle instead.

This can be applied in other maps- just with different approaches.

It's really not very hard at all to get, I earned it on my first try :), you just have to go balls out.
