We have three computers behind a cable modem/Belkin Pre-N wireless router. When any two computers are trying to play multiplayer we get severe "jerkiness" or lag. Individually, all computers work fine in multiplayer.
Some tech stuff --
All computers are 3G or +
All have 1G DDR Ram or +
All have Nvidia 6600 GT or +
We all have PB updated, BF2 updated and all video card drivers/bios, etc..
And yes -- we all bought our own copies of BF2
On the router front -- one computer is cabled directly to the router, and the other two have wireless G cards in them. Even the direct cabled one experiences the twitchiness when a second computer is connected. and I have tried wiring two of them directly to the router and we still get the lag issue.
Now questions --
1. I obviously can't forward the ports via the router to any one computer without impacting the other two, so... can I change the ports that each computer uses? so that the router can forward specific ports to specific computers?
I seem to recall that in some other multiplayer game that I could specify unique ports for each computer in their startup scripts.
2. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. We hate not being able to play together...
