Re: Why many people are quitting BF2 for good -- it's not fun anymore

This game will never be balanced it is impossible to balance it....The human element involved makes this feat a joke to even think about....If it was to be balanced then everyone would have the same skill and no one would be better at something then anyone else....Saying this game should have balance is like trying to say the world is balanced....please tell me how a garbage worker is balanced to a Doctor (and for those of you who lack an IQ of more than 10, that last statement was a example, a representation if you will not any actual fact)...

No matter what someone in this game is going to be better then you at something just as someone is going to be worse...you can nerf things all day long but in the end you will still bitch about game balance because someone has gotten good with something and is owning your phuqing arse....Instead getting tough and getting good at something to counter act said person, you come into a forum and bitch and whine that the game is unbalanced....well all I have to say to that is phuqin cowboy up people....don’t be a sally a$$, hike up the skirt and fight back in game not on some forum about the game...

The backhawk is a flying tank, sniper rifles hurt like pellet guns, all Anti-air blows even for experienced and patient players. Other than that I can handle everything else, and am just stating the obvious. Overall the game is great, but is getting boring just due to the same old maps and equipment. I do not blame Dice or EA for wanting to make a buck. That is why I count on all those wonderful modders out their to take the PlaySchool BF2 and turn it into a real game. Just have fun with what you got for now guys. Oh, SuperDonkey, stop taking up all of the topic space with double posts...jk man.

He can kill an APC 80% of the time with one bomb from the fighter. You're saying that takes 10 minutes to learn?
OK, it might take you 20 minutes to learn the trajectory of a bomb from fighter planes. But seriously, there's no real skill in BF2 that takes a good deal of practice before you can even become proficient at it, thus leaving the profession open to ANYONE.

And the helicopters are by no means hard, unless you are expecting realistic physics and simply can't get the helicopter to do what you want. The helicopter engine code makes a best effort to right itself, and plenty of other little tidbits, to make them dumbed down. The hardest thing to me for helicopters was when I found out using a mouse/keyboard setup like in Desert Combat was suicide since the darn things basically make input you're un-aware of, almost forcing you to use a joystick. Other than that, they're way too simplified, as everything else.

Personally I wouldnt miss jets if they were completely removed, and the arty had longer chargetime. (Who shoots artillery within 100 meters of friendlys anyway) - it wouldnt miss out on the battle feeling just cause it got longer chargetime) Jets and artilleryspamming just disrupt the gameflow in my oppinion.

Its everyones right to point out things they dont like - dont ever stop it!.

I would LOVE it if they made it so that Jets have to land to get rearmed and refuel. I am a guy who has been playing jet and commercial airplane simulation for the past 8 years and these include every version of flight simulator, falcon 4.0, lock on modern combat, and so on. I would love it if they made the planes realistic.

            BUT.....

If they made the jets realistic, now when you drop a MK80 or AGM-65K on a base, that would erase everything and everyone and every vehicle on that base. If they made the jets realistic, that would mean not making 90 degree turns with 10Gs on you, or making it so that you don't loose control when you are in 2,000 feet.

You are misunderstanding me, what i am saying is:

            1. Jets are unrealistic, i admit it.
            2. But the game is unrealistic as well, it's arcade not simulation.
            3. If they are going to make jets more vulnerable, the game will become MORE ARCADE which is a contradiction to everyone complaining here since they think the game is not realistic enough.
            4. No matter what they do, they can increase AA's accuracy from 5% to 50% if they want, good pilots will still own the battlefield, they will still gun down infantry, they will still spawn camp your uncap base, they will still do all that.
            5. I am NEVER against complaints as they are what make a good game a good game. That's how good games are made, that's the most essential part. What i am against is whining. Coming here and saying JETS SUCK TAKE THEM OUT. What i am against is people coming here with little or no knowledge about: a. game engine, b. planes, c. realism. If people want to complain and suggest things, they need to come here with FACTS and REASONS, not just "planes suck, take them out".
            6. You also don't realize i actually AGREE with the original poster, i just say that when DICE does what we want them to do, that will make things WORSE.

The fact is that this version of BF is seriously flawed and is causing people to leave and/or become disenchanted with the game. Air power is wayyyyyy over powered... period! No discussion about it. There is simply no way to bring down jets... period! Get it?? No way. And don't give me that tired old chit about how you brought one down just the other day with AA.... that's total bull. Farks gets it right and is totally on point with "Becoming a great pilot isn't difficult when you don't have any threats against you."

This discussion is a joke. There is no denying the FACTS that the game is very unbalanced and, for anyone who is frustrated at this, it is something that is driving many people away.
              1. Its Maranello not Marsanello, but that's okay :)
              2. If people are leaving BF2 because the game is unfair to them or they can't have a fair fight and they basically cry, there is nothing to do. DICE can NOT make the game so that everyone loves it. There will ALWAYS be complaining and problems, that's ineviteble.
              3. You are saying SO MANY people are leaving bf2, prove it. How many people are here sharing your opinion? How many people are even in this thread? Maybe 5, maybe 10, make it 20, no no, make it 100, you know what? let's make it 1000!, so what 1000 people leave BF2? the game sold over 5 million maybe more, DICE won't care, EA won't care, you have to put up with it. I WOULD LOVE to have a game where everyone has a fair chance, but that's not going to happen. The reason why games exist is to bring competition (which i don't like) and what you are saying will make the game equal and people will get bored.

Air power is wayyyyyy over powered... period! No discussion about it. There is simply no way to bring down jets... period! Get it??
that's just not a good way to have a "mature" debate. I would rather not see you ordering me with "you get it?" or "period!". I am showing you respect, explaining things in a nice and mature way, i expect you to do the same please.

              4. At the end, whenever i open BF2 and click multiplayer, i always find players to play against. So you or Joe or Henry or X guy leaving the game will not change anything. We have had these arguments 1,000,000 times with bunny hopping, stat padding, tank whoring, maps, weapons, noob tube, and what happened? Nothing. This "people will and are leaving battlefield 2" have been out there for 7 months, nobody is leaving BF2, if you are dedicated with your argument, stop playing BF2, and post your stats here and we ll see if you really stop playing it, but you won't. The game is so good, it's an addiction. There is no alternative (unfortunately).

Again, i will underline what i said before, i AGREE with you, i am just saying even though interviews say the game should be balanced, the game was never meant to be balanced, its just the way it was designed, coded, modeled. In order to make the game fair, you would need to rewrite the game engine code from scratch. You can make the planes more vulnerable, than you will have tank whores, if you fix that, then you will have people complaining how an M1A2 Abraham gets owned so easily and how that is unrealistic, then you will have chopper complainers, then you will have people complaining how granades not making enough damage.

This will cause nothing but stress, agressive behavior towards people and make everyone angry. After all who wouldn't love to have an equal game where everyone gets the SAME chances, but it just won't happen.

BF2 rocks - learn how to play it instead of complaining about it. Learn to use the kits/vehicles correctly and you won't have a problem.

There are some things that need to be adjusted but come on.. it's not that bad unless you down right suck as a player.

BF2 is about teamwork IMHO. You have the right team together you will find yourself in a difficult situation if your against them.

You can be a 100% true professinal in a game, and still have things to point out that would improve the game. If you cant handle people complaining about issues, dont open the thread - noones forcing you to read it. Go play the game and save yourself a lot of pain looking at things you dont like to see, and let the others complain if they want to.

"Just learn the game" or "just jump in the jet" is such shallow replies beeing used like a million times allready.

Re: Why many people are quitting BF2 for good -- it's not fun anymore

chuckle, what I hear is a bunch of whining throughout the majority of this thread. Did you also not read the sentence right below the one you quoted stating some things DO need to be adjusted?

Things that need adjusted in BF2:
Transport helicopters hitpoints/weapons (like the blackhawk vs other transport helicopters)
                      dolphin diving
                      AA accuracy

Things need to be left alone:
                      jumping while firing
attack helicopter missle count/tv missle range

There are others but what you don't hear from me is complaining about how it's not fair, or i'm quiting because people dolphin dive.

Some things need to be adjusted, some things need to be left alone. If this game were 100% equal to that of real life, people would still complain. The problem I have with this thread is that EA reacts to the whining community too often. Look at the upcoming 1.2 patch.

                          Your contradicting yourself.
First you say "learn how to play it instead of complaining about it"
Minutes later you complain of things that should be fixed.

I love the idea of making jets and heli's land to reload their weapons. I am no noob at this game and I agree with the original post. Two maps come to mind. Operation Clean Sweep and Gulf of Oman. On these maps, if you can back the other into one base, they can be base raped the entire game with a jet. I have also been on the opposite side and had BushViper or BabySpinach raping the hell out of my teams only base. So tell me how do counter this? They have already taken out the one AA, you cannot get into any vehicles, and if you try to cap a flag - you will be bombed.

                                agreed, making them land will:

                                1. Point out the good jet pilots, leaving out people who know nothing but bomb the hell out of infantry for points. So only skillful players will stay as the other noobs will give up.

                                2. It will make planes more vulnerable, slower, less deadly force.

                                3. It will make the game and planes more realistic.
