Had A Blast on your server last night guys!!

Sorry about killing you so many times last night MRS.

Although that Claymore Kill was wild ... if you had moved a bit faster you would have gotten past before they armed!

One comment thou My buddies and I would play more on your server but that auto bal really is a pain when 4-6 guys log on.

Had some awesome games last night. In a great tight nit squad with guys I have never played with before. Hellraiser, Haargoth (sorry for the mispelt name), couple of guys I remember. We stuck together, excellent teamwork and I think we only lost one round all night. In fact we came back from a pounding we were getting on Operation Cleansweep. We were 100 tickets behind and kept at it took their air base worked our way up to communication central and pushed forward. We ended up winning by 5 tickets. That would not have been possible without the excellent teamwork/communication from our squad. Some of the most enjoyable games I have played.

        Thanks guys.

I had a great set of Games over the weekend. I dont even Refresh my server browser anymore, I simply just pull up R2 from my favorites. Once again my compliments on a wonderful server.

I'm not sure that the hardware is up to the load - I get a lot of skippy lag and people warping, neither of which I see anywhere else. Of course, it could also be the horde of ~200 ping players that are usually on there.

That, combined with some disagreements with way its administered, and I'll be an infrequent visitor from here on. No hard feelings though - and it's still a good server for a lot of other people.

Yea, the phenomenon tends be markedly more severe for low pingers viewing high pingers.

I have a steady 200 ping and I get no lag unless Im running programs in the background, apart from TS that is. Also alot of our members have pings of 30 to 100 and have encountered no lag issues. So I cant give you any explanations to the lag you are encountering.

Im not sure what your disagreements are on the way it is administered and if you have serious problems with it you can always take it up with an admin(HKS or myself) either via pm here or by visiting our site http:www.r2clan.com and making a post about it. I do remember having a few issues with some of your guys about TK'ing for jets. You told me in game it was a accident and I gave you the benefit of the doubt, however like I also told you I will check the BR to see how "accidental" it was. TKing for vehicles on our server is a big no no, most players will share vehicles, choppers and jets with their teammates Ill grant you the fact after our brief convo you did say that you have no problems sharing as well as long as others did the same. Anyway if you think its not for you thats your right. We cant please all the people all the time

No worries. In this case, abstinance will be the best form of prevention for future issues :)

Yes you are not sure and obviously have no clue so let me fill you in.

Here's the server hardware specs for you.

Dual 3.0 Xeons (never has used anymore than 30% with BR+VOIP)
                          2gig RAM
                          100Mbit pipe (only uses 3%)
VOIP is run from a separate server
Battle recorder is uploaded at the end of the round to a separate ftp server

That means power to burn, not even slightly stressing the server, we could easily run 3 instances of BF2 on our server. We don't share the server with anyone. Its totally dedicated to us. You won't find a better setup out there for BF2 or SF. I suggest you look at your PC as to why you have people warping because nobody else has that problem. If they did I would be the 1st to know about it. :)

So please don't attempt any cheap digs about something you know nothing about.

I'd like to know what your PC specs are because nobody else has a problem, if they did I would know about it. I think maybe your PC is not up to scratch to play on 64 player maps. You realise BF2 is broadband only not dialup?

About you and your attitude on our server. Firstly you were told by all the server that you were a red tag friendly. You were politely asked numerous times to leave the server and rejoin to fix the problem. You ignored all these requests not only from admins but all the players who told you so. I then had to kick you, with the reason "Red Tag friendly please rejoin to fix this problem" Then you come back in and asked why you got kicked, when PB clearly stated the reason. Then you started arguing with admins, never a wise idea. I can dig up the chat log for all to see if you really want to.

Your type of attitude is not the type we encourage on our server. I'm pleased you will be playing eslewhere from now on as you disrupted the whole server and that's not fun for anyone. We kick red tag friendly's because it disrupts the server and people who play there appreciate this however most who are once told they have a red tag have no problem leaving of their own accord and rejoining out of respect to the other players.

                          Its the same for everyone.

House Rules are a pain to admin. In general gamers are a seriously hard crowd to deal with. Some of the silliest stuff gets overblown into pointless drama that no-one needs.

Var's thing looks like a missunderstanding that went badly 'cause some ego became involved. By his posts, he seems like a rational sorta guy.
But when push comes ta shove the local admin is always right. Even when he's wrong, he's still right 'cause it's his house. It's always your best bet to keep your shirt on no-matter what and stay rational. B!tching off only ever results in one thing.

I remember running a sever that a guy I know played quite a bit. He's a good guy in real life, but he's got an amazing ability to annoy people in-game. I ended up having to ban him myself. He didn't take it well and some of his friends didn't either. That really, really sucked.

I'm so glad I don't have to deal with this stuff anymore!

I've never seen a good clan admin in my life and especially not from those non-competitive "mature gaming society" clans.
