Wow. Very, very cool rounds going off on the R2 server tonight. I spent just about the whole evening as a squad leader and I would have trouble asking for better grunts!

I dont think I'm even going to refresh my server browser anymore, I'm just heading for the R2 server from now on. I've had great games over the last few days.

That was some Intense Blackhawk whoring. I just remember sitting in the back with a SpecOps beside me littering the ground with AT mines and C4. It was like a Skull and Crossbones Blizzard.

Good times had by all.

BTW, I have never seen my ping as low as it is on the R2 server. I usually get between 50-70 ping on most servers, but I ping 21 on R2's.

Not the worst slaughter on Oman I've seen, but a great example of how to win that map from the US side. The other team was putting up a great fight all night long, but they just weren't playing quite as smart as we were. There is an amusing little interlude where I end up having to deal with some spawn campers on the Essex. The got me twice 'cause I thought the other guys on the deck would have been smart enough to clear 'em after the first time. Noooooooo, tho. :p

BTW, if anyone wants to make any renders outta that .demo, feel free ta do so. I'd love ta see 'em, but my machine seems to choke bad when I try to output AVIs.

Yeah, R2 = Raging Rebels.
Damned tight server and the only one I've found so far that has every function of the game set up correctly.
I love being able to pull down the demo files. I'm confident about using my mic there 'cause I know damned well that it's gonna work.
Hehe, when/if you hear me say "Mic check, can anyone hear me", I'm BSing. I just wanna know who else has a mic and is willing ta use it!

I am gonna add this server to my favorites, I don't normally play US, or international servers at all. But.. being as this sounds like a really good server, lets see :)

I hope my ping isn't so bad.

Does anyone play on the TBF2 servers? We should get a regular forum goers frag-fest on, like FragBU :)

Glad you enjoyed yourselves we aim to please.

Remember you don't have to the best players in the world to play on our server although we certainly get some of the best there is.

The most important thing to remember is "Teamwork is the key" A team of average players who play as a team can beat a team of the best players if they are not using good enough teamwork.

The whole side needs to play as a team not just one squad. So join a squad, make sure you have a mic, if you don't go and spend $10 and buy a headset. Remember to actually "speak" and use it also. Don't be shy people are usually very polite. I guarantee it will be some of the best games you ever play but it can also be your biggest nightmare if you don't work as a team.

Watch out if Gimpy is on the other side because you know he will have a tight nit squad working together. Make sure you play smart and not be a rambo unless you like to die over and over again.

BTW Funny thing the Mrs said to me last night. After quite a few beers she noticed a players name DrunkenPirate.com she said to me should I warn him for name violation as we don't permit advertising on our server. I nearly fell off my chair laughing and said that's DP from TBF2, I think we let that one slide. What was your ping like DP? Did it play smooth as silk for you? Did you enjoy yourself?

For those that have never tried Battle Recorder here's a chance to have a go. Download the BR demo Gimpy posted. Place the file in this location My Documents/Battlefield 2/Profiles/default/demos it will then appear in game when you hit the community tab on the right hand side. Simply click it to play. You can use the mouse to move the camera around or use the space bar to cycle through the players in 3rd person view. Hit right mouse button to go back using the camera. Use your movement keys to move the camera in free cam mode.

Yes, mic's rule! All you guys out there that don't use them, or haven't got one, change your ways now! It will improve the game for you and you will have more fun! What more reason is there?
