Thats what I say too. Get a joy stick, The cheapest one with a twist handle will do. I paid 20 bucks for mine at Wal-Mart. Just spend about an hour in Lan mode setting it up and your good to go. Youll wonder why you didnt do this sooner. Even the hard stuff like landing the transport chopper and hovering is a breeze with a stick. At least thats what I think......Red

Just forget about screwing around with your mouse and buy a joystick for 20,30 bucks. In few days you'll be god.

I have an attack 3 ($30 Canadian) before I bought it I always crashed jets and typically used them to get from point A to point B, now I actually enjoy getting in a dogfight. I still use the mouse at default settings for the helos though.

I use it for hello's and jets, just gotta practice, though many of the best pilots are mouse pilots because turning round with a joystick takes longer than with a mouse.

              Are you sure...
Because even if your muse sensitivity level is the highest the jet only turns so fast, and my joystick is calibrated correctly and when I pull back on it the jet will turn as fast as it can. (well atleast it should)

My problem with the mouse flying was that I was always picking it up and moving the mouse because I cant just keep pushing it, or else it was to touchy. I probably just didn't play with the sensitivity settings enough to get it right.

                .....

Nothing in the game will make the jet turn any faster than it is allowed to, not even the best joystick or mouse. Move the mouse slowly, it turns lazy, just like not pulling all the way on the joystick. Move the mouse fast, it turns sharp just like pulling all the way on the joystick. Increasing mouse sensitivity just means that you have to move the mouse less to get the same movement with a lower setting. which means less picking your mouse up and more turning (or holding the same turn for a lot longer than you should).

i have it at sensitivity 6 and yaw/pitch max
I can proberbly set it higher, but got to get used to it

yaw/pitch factor does effect how well you turn with the jet, i didnt believe it at first but setting it to max helps a lot.

yeah, i was trying to say that, thanks for the clearness though.

I use default but luckily I have a turbo button on my mouse which when pressed speeds up the sensitivity, I use this button when in helicopters or when in a Jet and I need to make a quick manover. the mouse is a Saitec 1600 DPI, and I love it because it's so brilliant for bf2.

I keep my helo settings at 6.6 sensitivity, 7 yaw and pitch.

Jets I had at 7 sens, 5 yaw, 8 pitch ... but I was never very successful. I just bought a joystick to alleviate that problem.

To the utter maximum in the helicopter, no yaw, no pitch.
I kick down the sensivity to 6 when gunning via the mouse driver's on-the-fly sensivity thing though, because the tv-missile would be unsteerable otherwise.

I have mine almost all the way up, 8-8 for Jet and max for the helo. Couldn't imagine using a joystick after learning the mouse/keyboard way, i'm sure stick users say the same thing.
