I guess there is pros and cons to both types of Aircrafts. I still would love to see the A-10 though
Actually, the M61 vulcan cannon fires faster than the GAU-8 (A-10 gun). The Vulcan fires at 4500-6000 RPM, and it has 20mm rounds as said, the GAU-8 fires at either 2100 or 4200RPM and fires 30mm rounds. Anyways, i think the A-10 won't be too overpowering, think of it as a super-bomber, it's amazing at attacking ground forces, but it can do next to nothing for air-air combat, making it a very vulnerable target.

Some of the most knowledgable people about military vehicles that I know are my fellow 3d modelers, mainly due to the sheer amount of research that goes into producing one.

Yes, I think the maps are too small for jets, and their not designed for strafing attacks

On paper the '53 is superior to the blackhawk but in use the blackhawk is a much more reliable and durable vehicle. We used '53s during only one excercise the entire time I was in. Out of 15 that were used to infil us 5 broke down. According to the gunner I was talking to it was pretty typical.

I think it would be cool to have a B2 spawn at an airfield like 100 miles away from the action like they did in DC. It would carry laser guided 2000lb conventional bombs, not the wimpy 500 lb ones we have now. It would fly at high altitudes 500+ "feet". It would have a massive respawn time and be completely invisible from radar unless you're right on its tail. This would work in a few key maps such as oman, wake, dragon valley, maybe fushe. The MEC would have some kinda of equivalent, be creative.

The closest thing to the Pave Pig is the MH-47E “Darkhorse” Special Ops Chinook. The 47E is the overwhelming choice of all the operators when it comes to heavy lift, for the reliability of the airframe itself and more importantly the training, experience, reliability and dependability of the pilots.

I’ll admit I’m a bit biased since I was the “Darkhorse” Battalion Log NCOIC for 7 years, but I speak the truth based on my experience and interactions with the troops we supported.

These birds can do unbelievable things under the cover of darkness, but in the light of day, they’re a pretty huge target. So, the only place they’d really be practical would be on an SF night map, with zero illumination. That would be sweet!
