So why does everyone say that it is unrealistic to do such things... like jump and shoot? That has been the main justification brought up in this debate. It's going to be removed either way, so this is really arguing for no reason other than to bicker/debate/argue/vent/whatever.

I could understand just saying that you don't like bunnyhopping, but when people start throwing the word 'unrealistic' into it, then you can toss everything in this game out the window.

Don't take it the wrong way, I never bunny hopped much, but I never had a problem with people trying it on me either.

no jumping = GOOD

I agree! That bunny hoping is a very stupid thing to be in the game. It is Unreal like. There is no soldier in the world that could jump 2 meters in the air while carying 50 kilos of equipment and the do it in a row 25 times. Jump height should be reduced also.

Removing the fire ability while jumping is the most assbackwards we don't really give a ****, and the whiners that cry about unrealism have finally made it really unrealistic. IRL you can throw a grenade a LOT further than you can in BF2 standing still, I know this because I have thrown many.

you've never thrown a grenade. you are full of it. they weigh about 2-3 pounds IRL. ever play americas army? the game designed to be realistic to the smallest detail by the US Army? go play that, throw a grenade and tell me we need more throw distance.

lol I have to say it's quite funny they actually have to print the word "Grenade" on the side....I guess i can see some people mistaking it for a...um....um....cigerette lighter? lol.

as I said before already, shooting and jumping is realistic, because you can do it in real life. Load up a gun and try it for yourself...the gun wont care if you are jumping or not, it still will go boom.

Now, once again I must state this for those out there saying blah blah is unrealistic....this is a video game, it's not supposed to be realistic. If it want something more real, find a different game, or if you want the best realism out there, join the military.

This is a game, not reality.

For all you idiots crying about jumping and shooting, throwing grenades too far, etc; how come you're not bitching about being able to use parachutes to jump from buildings or 30 ft ledges, or use a parachute at all and just hit the ground running without having to detach the thing from your back?

How come you're not complaining about how unrealistic it is that now all of a sudden you can run a mile without having to stop and vomit, or that you have some kind of "unnatural" strength that allows you to actually carry a PKM? For one, I'm ****ed that the game makes me Chinese sometimes. WTF is up with that? I'm ****ing white, and this stupid game with it's lack of attention to detail turns me into a ****ing chink. So unrealistic. Hell, I can't even speak Arabic in real life, and yet somehow I can play BF2 and my guy won't STFU about it.

I'm still amazed that people think that this is gonna have any impact on defensive bunnyhopping if Dice doesn't wake up and smell the mechanics. Just because you can't shoot while jumping doesn't mean you can't jump all over the place then shoot when you land.

I think the perfect game for most of you would be one in which no one can actually move, at all. In addition, no one would actually have a "weapon" per say; after all, those things are not realistic (The physics are always ****ed) and some people don't know how to use them properly anyway. To kill an enemy, all one would need to do is simply "look" at their target, and the enemy would instantly fall dead. None of this "aiming" ********, or evasive "hitbox exploits."

We'll call it "Paraplegic Medusa" or something.
