You may or maynot be shocked to know that to many muslims, the concept of jihad is a peaceful one. It can be no more violent than Christians standing on the corner handing out those annoying flyers.

So yeah, I see someone use the word "Jihad" and I automaticly think "Ignorant".

It's really not that serious... If people want to call it, "Jihad" jeep. Let em'. I'm 100% sure the muslims aren't going to come in defense of their religious philosophy as it pertains to BattleField2.

Although. Even though the concept of Jihad is peacefull. It's currently not being executed as such in the world. So. Eh...

I usually play as MEC or insurgent (AK47, baby!), so it doesn't bother me. just means more Americans to kill, seeing as you guys can only 'root for the home team' as it were.

This entire thread is so funny. You have one group saying they like to Cwhore it up, and the other that hates it. It's a game everyone. You are supposed to kill your opponent, and take flags by any means necessary. If you are worried about how much skill it takes to Cwhore or use any other method then you have problems. I feel that getting in a chopper, for instance, and killing almost defenseless infantry takes little skill. I should know because I love doing it. If you really want to talk about skill then don't use anything other than a knife at all times. This game has nothing and should have nothing to do with morals and real life. If you feel otherwise then you are crazy. If you feel morals should be included then why are you playing a game where you get points and awards for knifing, shooting, bombing, and blowing up your fellow man? Don't bring morals into an immoral game. I served in Aco 3/7 Inf during the war. I say this because some of you are talking about morals in reference to gameplay in a war simulator. I can tell you right now that I would not think twice about strapping or ramming an explosive device where the sun doesn't shine to kill an enemy who threatens my military family or the one back home. So please, all of you people who hate certain aspects of BF2, suck it up and become more tolerant people. With your self proclaimed video game skills, which I am not contesting, you should be able to handle every noobalicious noobian noob out there. If not I will be happy to help you out.

I plant C4 on jeeps and use them to take out armor all the time - but I rarely kill myself in the process. Is it the suicide that admins don't like, or the creative and mobile use of C4?

Considering people have been doing this since the BF1942 days I don't see a problem with it.

Heck, in the first few releases of BF1942 you didn't even need the C4, you could just plow into a tank and kill it.

Seriously though using it effective would mean you dont die...Take out a pack of 2 APCs and a Tank with one jihad jeep and still be alive, then come tell me it takes no skill

I have attempted the jihad jeep myself once and found out it was not as simple as it seems. Just another tacktick that does take skill to master it if you ask me. Can be my lack of it though.

I hate to get killed that way, but then again, it hate to get killed no matter what way. If you don't like the gameplay on a server, find another one.

In my opinion, it's totally legit. So if you are still discussing if it is legit or not, don't. If it was an exploit or if it was an illegitimate tactic, EA would take it out in the previous patches or they would reset people's accounts who have been doing it.

The thing is, and this is again my opinion, i hate it. I have never done it and i don't like people doing it, not because it is cheap or it is stupid or anything else, but because it's the most dangerous thread for a tank or for an apc or for a squad of people moving down in the streets of karkand. But I have the same feeling for M203 a.k.a noob tube or any other things that developers didn't intend to do but yet the gamers discovere them. There is nothing to do, we either play this game the way it is, or we just don't play it and play something else. You are wasting your time here, nobody will say "yes, you are right, from now on i will stop doing it". That's just not gonna happen.

On a side note, please keep the topic constructive. Please do not flame each other, or accuse each other, and do not name call each other. I really don't want to lock this thread because it's a very interesting discussion, but i will if some of you don't stop flaming.

maranello, there's another nasty way of having fun with tanks. I'm sure that you can add it to your list of "good feelings"
It does not include jeeps or buggies, but I think with a bit of practice, and some tactical planning it could be very effective...

However, many server admins might have a problem with it. Probably the same ones that have a problem with C4 Jeeps...

I don't see what you people are so upset about, strapping bombs to a vehicle and driving off like a lunatic is one of the funniest things you can do in this game. IMHO it's not terribly rewarding either statwise, you often get shot before accomplishing anything of note, especially as tanks tend to see you coming and blast you and your car back to china. I get maybe a 1.5:1 K/D ratio doing it, which is less than what I get playing most classes. Factor in a few megative team points from the occasional accident and you're not really rolling in the kills.

But god damn is it funny to run some people over before ramming into something and exploding. Next time you see a car speeding by with C4 sticking out of it imagine me driving while making crazy laughing sounds, an evil glint in my wide open eyes. You'd never suspect that I got my driving license this very month.

What DOES annoy me is when people pack their car full of dangerous and relatively unstable explosives and DON'T GIVE OTHER PEOPLE RIDES! I don't want to stay around some dusty old base! I want to be in the back with the bombs, heading out for adventure! Honk the horn and let people on YOUR jihad vehicle of choice before selfishly speeding off into the distance.

I agree, BUT... I never give rides when I'm on a suicide mission. It just isn't worth the potential TK's.
