Base rape at hotel CP on Karkand? You mean the Amis are trying to cap the flag? Why shouldn't this be acceptable? I mean the MEC have all the spawns from the beginning of the map. All they need to do is defend the flags. If they are pushed back they can't complain of being "baseraped"...

sometimes US doesnt actually cap the hotel flag, they just sit there base camping MEC.

that's the situation im talkin about.

Well, then why do some MEC people keep respawning there after they have been killed by a tank? There are plenty other flags to spawn at.
The US tank just waits there until one of his teammates has capped the flag. While doing this they will of course wait for some dumb MEC to spawn in the alley where the tank has his MG pointed at.
I'd say it's perfectly legitimate.
You can't tell a team how much time they are granted to cap a flag. If people keep spawning there - their bad choice...

i think so too... but i did feel bad and sorry for those MEC's when i got 50 or 55 kills in a tank IAR on karkand for my expert medic combat by camping the hotel.

I usually have bad feelings too after killing the same people over and over.
But it's their fault if they keep spawning there.
If I see a tank camping the hotel CP at Karkand I usually spawn at a near spawn as AT or Specops. Usually not much longer a basecamper at the hotel.
Flashbangs are also very effective against tanks.
But of course if there is a tank at the hotel CP, and you accidentaly or intentionally spawn there you're pretty much screwed, and about to spend 15 seconds of quality time :)

did it when bf2 first came out just like i did when i first played DC, but not anymore, i dont really like it happening to me so i tend not to do it to others now

but maybe there has been a time i've had a quick sneaky spray of the cannon at the deck recently, i'm only human! :P

It's quite acceptable to attack an uncappable spawn as long as the team can spawn somewhere else.

Fact of the matter is , most lame/skillless pilots base rape for cheap points no matter how they try to dress is up. As with everything it's a personal choice if you do it or not - I usually only ever do it to put some manners into a lame pilot so they don't get off the ground again for the rest of a map if they have been doing it excessively to my team - see how they like being bullied and boy do they usually bitch when the shoe is on the other foot.

i think its not nice to start raping if its the only base left. go over to defence on the tips of the island or even take control of the smal island with the arty. there is no way to get off the ship if its getting raped.
some say, use the boats. well, have any of you brainiacs ever tried to get to shore in a boat while there are 2 jets, an attack chopper and a transport chopper are raping your base? any little bit skilled pilot can shoot that boat right out of the water in a few secs. and thats the same with the little island, there is almost NO way to get of there unseen.
