I did find another funny shot that can be accomplished when aiming at the back of the T90 if he is cocked about 10-30 degrees from parallel with your turret, and it is good for about 70-80% damage:
If you aim for the side of the skirt with that presentation and fire off a shell, you can get a double hit in on that particular tank. Those nice little plates that stick out in the front third of the tank, well, they catch the projectile after it ricochets off the skirt and provide it with another solid hit.
Here is a video I made showing this shot on the T90, it is kind of funny because it truly shows the ricochet at the end of the shot. It hits the skirt first, travels up and hit the plates at the front of the skirt, then gets deflected up and away from the tank then finishes up by hitting the building down the road:
I need to edit that mini movie, it works on the M1A2 and Type98 also. You just don't get to see the crazy ricochet presented on the T90. I am actually not sure why it works on those two tanks, unless after the shell initially hits it continues to travel down the length of the skirt and maybe registers as another hit. I'll have to position the Abrams by a wall and see where the ricochet flies off to after the hit to see what happens lol.
As I have pretty much been subtly stating for a long time, it all comes down to how you place your shot. You just have to play with the angles that are on the vehicles to make it work.
I would have to agree with Zulu about hitting the front of the tank treads though. If you don't get see the presentation you want, go for the front of the treads, it is good for typically around 40-45% damage, multiply that by two, and you get a tank that starts on fire and might as well be dead.
Yah, I was just waiting to see how long it would take for everyone to realize that it wasn't some spot on the DeathStar that had to be hit and more just a play on angles. I was trying to get everyone to realize it by just hinting at it with saying 'simple geometry and physics', but everyone just thought I was nuts lol.
And, Windows Movie Maker works for me, it's free too lol. I'm not very good with movies either, don't really aim to be, but I find that for a nubbin (like me) that wants to get his point across, it is very user friendly and almost all comes down to 'drag and drop'.
